hi all, well have just got back from the doctors. It went better than I expected really. Doctor has decided to put me on anti depressants for now, as she thinks this will help me deal with things alot better. With regards to OH spending obsession, she said "im no financial expert, but if I was you, I would let him get on with it and let him hang himself, why should you worry about it". Part of me agrees with her entirely, but part of me still wants to help. Mum and dad just want me to concentrate on my problems and looking after DD, my dad also suggested getting my own bank account (and I know that many of you have already suggested this), so will look into that more later.
Maybe im kidding myself, but I am just hoping that OH has been telling me the truth and he has been missing us both alot. I just want him to change, not just moneywise, but attitude as well. I think I could deal with the debt problems alot better, if I wasnt being constantly moaned at and being put down all the time.
Oh well, time for a nice cuppa methinks:) hope you are all ok. I cant thank you all enough for your continued help and support, I know this probably sounds like really corny lol, but all your support and kind words mean the world to me. Thank you all.

JC thats great news and you sound so positive again. Glad you have enough money to make it to payday. Lifes so much easier when you don't have to worry what you're going to feed your family. Whats even better is that your parents are aware and supportive. That makes all the difference in the world.
Hope you have a fab day!Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

hiya woowoo, Thanks for popping in. As you can see from the above post, I am now on anti-depressants. I am hoping that it will only be for a short while. I feel quite positive today, which surprised me considering OH is due home tonight (DD is not happy!). I think the surprise extra money that I found in our current account this morning probably helped!:) As I now do not have to worry myself silly thinking how the hell are we going to manage until payday on wednesday.
Hope all is well with you woowoo, speak soon xxLBM: April 2009 - honest debt figure: Secured: £0.00!! (paid back april 2017) unsecured: £53117.48 (roughly) back with CCCS starting again:(0 -
Hello
Just escaped from work. I thought of you. You and Mouseann keep me going as you are both so strong and inspirational. I am so pleased. Things are changing for the better my friend. It will take a while for the tablets to work (depending on what you have) but you will feel better and stronger and eventually be able to make decisions.
Your mum and dad sound amazing. You are going to have to be kind to yourself. Now when it gets too much visit mum and dad rather than staying put so he makes you feel more upset. The bank account thing is great. You will be empowered as you are fab at finance.
Hooray!!!

Nb some of the tablets have side effects, they may make you feel drowsy etc so you may need to take it easy for a couple of days till you get used to them. Hopefully yours will be ok.
Having a cup of tea to celebrate just checking Mouseann's thread now!

hiya savingwannabe, thanks for stopping by. It makes me feel so much better knowing that we have got each other for support. I think all of you are fab peeps.
Not much else to report at the mo really. I am hoping things will improve on the ebay front. I have put 3 mixed bundles of DD's clothes on so far, all are in excellent condition, got 6 days to go on each and they are still only on 99p:( I know its better than nowt, but I am hoping for a bit more. must stay positive, im sure I will get some more bids, otherwise it doesnt really seem worth it. I keep thinking, knowing my flaming luck at the min, nothing will sell at all. but I do stop myself now and as of today, I am going to try really hard to only think positive thoughts. No more being dragged down!!!!
enjoy the rest of your afternoon :cool:LBM: April 2009 - honest debt figure: Secured: £0.00!! (paid back april 2017) unsecured: £53117.48 (roughly) back with CCCS starting again:(0 -
Hi JC,
I sold 23/30 of my cds over Easter, If people bought them you are in with a good chance too. Only for tiny amounts; Some of them were less than a pound but i was glad as it is cathartic to tidy up. Plus, i felt that i had learned to ebay which is very exciting as i am scared of technology.
After i get inspected on Friday, (am a teacher -great subject but hate inspection plus people in my dept are nasty) I will make sure i ebay more. I want to make some money and feel like i am doing something worthwhile.
Must go and make that tea.Aiming for a minimal spend 20220 -
Hi JC
Glad everything went ok at the doctors.
I'm sure OH will be lovely to you when he comes home tonight, just remember he is a bit like a wolf in sheeps clothing and don't fall for his games.

morning all,
well nothing much to report today. OH came home in a lovely mood, said he felt totally de-stressed. He also said thank you for what I had done around the house! I nearly fell over!:rotfl: He also said that he never wants to go away without me ever again, makes you want to go blurgh doesnt it :rotfl:
Will it last? hmmmm........... I cant see it (im getting cynical in my old age! lol) but I hope so, I just want a quiet life so I can get things sorted.
One good thing tho, OH actually came home with quite a bit of dosh :j once I converted it back to GBP it works out at just over £380!!!:j So I gotta admit I am proud of him for that, he even said you must be proud of me, cos you know what im usually like! He did do well, so at least I can put that to good use now.
payday tommorow :j cant wait. need to get my new budget sorted out and written down for May. Ive almost done it now, and Im going to stick to it, no matter what!!!!!
I am feeling a bit yucky today, but I think its probably the side effects of the tablets, as my body has still got to adjust.
Hope you all have a great day, speak later xxLBM: April 2009 - honest debt figure: Secured: £0.00!! (paid back april 2017) unsecured: £53117.48 (roughly) back with CCCS starting again:(0
