  • hiya savingwannabe, payday is a great feeling isnt it:T

    Right here goes, this is my budget for May. Please feel free any of you to make comments and/or suggestions as I am still quite new to all of this! There are 3 of us + 1 doggie!!

    Petrol = £25.00 per week

    OH spends = £25.00 per week (right this isnt always gonna be this high, he basically takes a packed lunch to work but sometimes buys the odd drink etc, so im trying to budget for anything that comes up just in case!)

    Entertainment = £15.00 per week (if this isnt used one week, then will use it to pay off some more of the cc debt)

    Food = £40 per week, this will include all cleaning, toiletries, meat etc.

    total for May budget = £420.00 hmmm....... this seems quite high, I am hoping that I can shave quite a bit off of the food budget. Ideally I would like this figure to be around the £360 mark. Will have to start my spending diary again just to be sure.

    Again, if any of you have any comments/suggestions then please feel free to add them.

    Thanks xx

    Well I've done it, for the first time in I dont know how long, today I have finally put my foot down and stood up to OH:j

    I will elaborate! Well basically, he is into motorbikes and has got one thats about 5 years old, lovely bike ok. He comes home today and says he wants to get rid of his bike for a newer, better one so that we can do more together as a couple blurgh! :rotfl: He then starts talking about getting what he can for his one and then buying another one second hand. but then he says about getting finance:eek: I said there is no way you will get finance, we are stretched as it is!!!!! He didnt like that.

    well, after he sulked for a bit and got over his strop, he said that I was right!!!! he said that he wouldnt do the finance and that he would have to wait :j I cant believe it!!!!! This is the first time I have been brave enough to do something like that, and it totally worked!!!

    go me! lol :rotfl:

    I just felt that I had to share this with you all.

    speak later x
