Jo you seem to be getting heaps done. I made Jam for the first time last week - thanks to OS threads and was so pleased with myself. Re blackberries we went picking yesterday. I open freeze all mine and use them through winter in lots of different receipes eg a traybake thing with coconut; a cake with a crumble topping and in anything I might use raspberries. These freeze so well and my DS3 loves just eating them frozen - my kids also love frozen orange slices and raspberries and grapes straight out the freezer.

Not done much flying today but I as so delighted that I have not let anything slip that I have already done. I am off to visit flylady now to get some tips.

  • not much cleaning here today either. I had plans to go and see my friend and take her a birthday pressie, but got a text from her DH saying she had her baby today, and that kind of threw me.

i think the extent of it today will be peeling veggies for dinner, putting the washing up away, then reminding DH to put the bin and recycling out.

It is taking me forever to do anything this week. I hope i can catch up on some sleep this weekend and be all ready to tackle the new challenge on Monday.

Jo - sounds like you do plenty to me. I know being pregnant isn't a disability, but after a day at work, i probably manage doing less around the housse than you have. It is hard to get used to. It sounds like Justin is finding it a big help too.

Will probably not post on the thread again until monday unless i achieve something spectacular. I'm not feeling that inspired at the moment.

    Hi Dusty kitten!

Have picked lots of blackberries today and was unsure about stewing these (did aload with apples 2 days ago). Yo 'open freeze' them do you just wash them and put them in the freezer uncooked?
Thanks for letting me pick your brains, whilst I'm there how do you then use them eg in yr traybake? Do they go in frozen or do you defrost them first?

    Thanks

I have just read this entire thread took over half an hour so no cleaning or tidying for me!

Used to get daily emails from US flylady but have not read any for months, the times kind of put me off a bit! Have just signed up for UK ones instead, so that might make me inspired as boy do I need it!

Hope to join you all when the next challenge kicks off on Monday!

Once they are frozen - 3 hours in mine tip them into bags/boxes. Any which are stuck together will easily break apart.

Thanks for letting me pick your brains, whilst I'm there how do you then use them eg in yr traybake? Do they go in frozen or do you defrost them first? I use them frozen as they are then easier to distribute than when defrosted - hope that helps. I have 2 bags full now but intend to get some more at the weekend as they are free and it entertains the kids picking them for a while - good luck

I love fly lady, but have totally neglected the routine over the summer, so glad to get back on track with it again. I love the missions the best, she tells you a particular place to tidy and clean and you go and do it, places you forgot existed, like the top of the fridge, under the sink etc. Will missions be included in this new fly lady challenge?

Ive been trying to get my flat ready for sale using flylady techniques, but its not really been happening. I just cant break thngs into 15 min sessions. its almost too overwhelming to do it

I have been reading here, but maybe now is the time to join in.

I have 2 weeks to get this place looking AMAZING, and that includes painting

Anyone got any good tips to take white gloss paint of laminate flooring and QUICKLY. I just cannot take any more of lightly scraping it off with a nail file
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

Welcome lynxpower and overlykeensaver and other new flybabies. :hello:

Am taking deep breath and bracing myself for Monday's new flylady challenge Moggins.

Yesterday I hoovered bottom deck and even mopped kitchen and dining room floor all with the help of DS! Completely ignored ironing pile from hell!!! :D

Today I dropped DS off at pre-school and spent 15mins tidying everyroom (except hotspot office :o ) ready for Monday!

Even did handwashing and wiped down kitchen with stardrops!

    Tired out now!

    can I jump in too?

was with flylady a while ago but opted out as all the emails were driving me mad and only making me feel worse. I guess I just wasn't ready.

DD starts school next week... part of me is looking forward to having the extra time, while part of me is very sad at the end of an era. But I realised today that in some ways I'm worried that now I won't have an excuse for being disorganised. When you have little ones at home it's so easy to tell yourself that you can't get anything done and not try... now I feel people will expect more of me and more importantly I will expect more of myself. oh dear...does any of this make sense?

I don't want you to think that I live in total squalor! But I do have a lot of clutter and i'm always losing things that I have put in a "safe place". I thought flylady will at least give me somewhere to start as I am in a position to create new routines to suit me (from 9am to 3pm anyway!)and of course all of you will encourage me too!

Just got to work out how to sign up again...I'd forgotten my yahoo details and they've sent me a reminder email but the password they sent didn't seem to work.

Just typing this post has made me feel more positive!
    weaving through the chaos...
