I am a fly lady flop I'm afraid. I shined my sink on Monday and kept it relatively free, but now its a higgle piggle again. I so wish I had the energy to get organised in my own home, but because I clean other people's houses for a living, you can imagine how hard it is to get any enthusiasm.

I am good at reading the emails though!

I don't think I've visited this thread this time around - however as I'm 'flying' today thanks to the children being back in school I've decided to join back in :D
Achieved so far is a total tidy of the kitchen and dining area, cleaning the surfaces (ok, only a couple of really bad cupboard doors and ALL worktops ;) ) and sweeping the floor.

Two loads on the wash line
Tomatoes picked (not very FL but time consuming!) and 'fed'.
Hall decluttered and tidied (really didn't want to do this as it looked a HUGE job. In fact took less than 15 mins - I even beat the timmer!!!)
Next on the agenda is the livingroom and then the office, finishing with a flick around with the duster and vaccum cleaner.
Tomorrow it's bedrooms (inc bed linen), possibly bathroom (yeuck - so wish I'd kept up swish & swipe!) and then menu and grocery shop planning.
Not doing anything in-depth this week (eg cupboards) as it'll be a major achievment to be able to walk into a room without climbing over/standing on stuff! :D
    Best wishes,
    Kaz x

    Hello Flyladies,

In laws are leaving Saturday and need to start some serious flying!!!! Downstairs tidy but needs a bloody good clean but think I will have to start with kids bedroom and their toy cupboard in particular. Cupboard was trashed at DS birthday bbq and just haven't had time to rectify it, it's slowly taking over their room. We have more work going on in bathroom, bath is being built in and tiled so that will need a good clean once finished but won't touch it until then. Will do our room after kids and wash down walls in hallway too.

To be honest everything needs a bloody good lick of paint, couldn't we do a Flylady decorating thingy?...

Can't wait for Flylady 3, count me in!!! Will post exact to-do's Saturday am.

  • haven't managed to get any cleaning done today as i have had to go and do a shopping trip after work to try and sort out the birthdays that are coming up over the next couple of months.

did manage yesterday to clean the sink and draining board in the kitchen, get the BM on, and clean the radiator, skirting boards and doors in the bathroom. Also shined the mirrors.

small steps will get me there. Roll on next monday.

    Michelle, xx
  • Kaz, you really are cooking with gas!

BTW, has anyone seen the Flylady doll - by popular request, apparently. If that's not enough to scare you into cleaning, I don't know what will.

Edinburghlass, you were skulking at the back last time. Get yourself up the front where moggins and snowy can see you. Kaz, do you want to be a prefect? :D
