pigpen sorry about your uncle and the fact that I asked the question and then didn't reply. I didn't manage to get back on at all yesterday, one thing after the other with the kids.

I have been busy flying (and picking DH up after he fell off his bike and hurt his shoulder!) so need to find a list

ETA - embb - do you have someone who keeps putting junk in your shed 'just in case' because it might be 'useful' one day? I live on my own, and yet my dad, brother, builders etc seem incapable of throwing things out... I have to make sure I check after they've been helping out and get rid of stuff that is clearly rubbish...

Ohhhhhhhhhhhh yes! OH who is a builder/joiner. Whenever he does some work in the house he keeps 'stuff' found 2 half bags of bonding plaster and cement in there, one's still usable apparently *rolls eyes* he's already commandeered the leather off the settee to make good the other one I gave him, ummed and arred about whether to keep the old door lining for use on his house, eyed up the old 1970's electric fire cos and I quote "it's a good one that" :D it's falling to bits....he's the original MSE'r mind and I'm mighty proud that he is, but he can take the crap as long as it's not in MY house. :D

Everything is now cut in half so can take to the dump, mattresses and bed base first. laters xx

    Monday ~ Kitchen/Dining area

    Done
Tuesday - Sitting Room and Hallway
    Done

Also lots of hoeing and weeding done - including the creeping violet out from under the pyracantha (aka fire thorn), bit ouch that was. Agreed plan for new front right hand garden with DH :D. I think we are going to mirror the left hand side and go for cottage style with another pergola and seat and then borders with blue brick on edge and blue slate for the paths. Now I just need to work out how to pay for it . I have lots of plants ready, and we already have the bricks so really it is the slate and the wood for the pergola so it could be worse.

The wisteria will be flowering soon, the as tall as the house Camelia williamsii 'Donation' is absolutely covered in pink flowers - the result of so much rain last year and a sheltered position.

Toots - summer bulbs - lillies are my favourites for quick return for little effort. Dahlias are the other thing that spring to mind for easy pots. I like things that are scented so you can just lie back, shut your eyes, feel the sun, listen to the bees and smell the garden :).

I've just got back in from gardening all day!

Have dug up some shrubs and trees that were in far too small places left behind by previous owners and I trimmed them back last year but they need to go.

Have moved quite a few plants into better places in the shady section and dug over the flower bed waiting for some new perennials to arrive. Also potted up some dianthus before they go in the garden in a few weeks time

Potted up the roses I bought in memory of my dad which look great quality and I hope they flower this year.

One third garden looks nice and tidy and 2 v.small flower beds are cleaned up ready to go. I had alittle think about the redesign of the back bit and came up with a plan. Will make a drawing to remind me what needs doing and then price up some bits and pieces

Right better find a list and make a start on the house!
Planted some salad, radish and spring onion seeds so finger crossed they grow!
