Weekly Flylady Thread 12th April 2010

Fishing was marvellous - absolutely no blinkin' fish, mind you - but I generally go for the excellent company (it's a regular club thing, and they're all bonkers - in a nice way!) and the day out on a boat. Catching fish isn't all that important, just a nice extra

Anyway, the fish were all absent yesterday. Maybe they were on half-term, too?

We had a somewhat scary high speed puncture on the way home (at 10pm) that involved changing the rear offside wheel on the inside lane of a duel carriageway with no hard shoulder. :eek:

Anyway, onto Flying - I have fluttered a bit in the spare room and it is now totally fit for habitation (i.e. I've put the sheets back on the bed!). My mother is coming round in an hour for me to take her to Costco ::sigh:: which isn't exactly how I'd planned to spend Saturday, but never mind.

What's left of the lists :

Monday ~ Kitchen/Dining area
Level Three
Clean out a cupboard
Clean out the fridge!
Extras
1. Wipe over oven
Tuesday - Sitting Room and Hallway
Level Two
Clean any glass.. pictures, windows, mirrors etc
Extras
1. Wipe the woodwork in these areas
Wednesday ~ Master Bedroom & Landing
Level 2
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs.. make sure to do the bed base.. mine was gross
Level 3
Vacuum floors in bedroom and on landing
Extras
1. Clean windows in these rooms
Thursday ~ Bathroom, Study and Stairs!
Level One
Vacuum/mop all these floors
Friday ~ Childrens Rooms, Spare rooms Or just neglected spaces!
Level One
Declutter and vacuum the floor!
Level Three
Dust and deweb

go out to get new garden bench and other bits and pieces (must make list)
drop bags of at charity shop on way
plant heathers and check on plants/seeds
swap benches around/sweep
school work

Time to get washed and dressed, then get DS2 ready and we're off out. Must write that list.

Parcel collected - just realised 'pending tray' aka dining table is looking a bit cluttered :eek: (not mentioning rest of house)
Hope shot of caffeine will kick me into action.

One load of washing in. Bins done. Fridge tidied. Washing up done. DW still cooling off so can't unload it. Freezer reorganised based on this week's meal plan (I'm not used to planning for 3 plust assorted visitors!). Veg chopped for soup later (need to go and buy more veg). Looks like a trip to the farm shop via the recycling banks - not sure when I'm going to get any walking in today but as my parents are bringing the dog with them I should manage a bit!

Two more loads of washing probably. Now need to blitz the sitting room as it hasn't had a thorough clean in ages, and I'm dreading what I might find in the way of spiders . Then I need to empty some of the junk from the car as well, and move the spare duvet and suitcases out of the spare room and into my study to give my parents a bit of space.

Good think it's a lovely day, it might help with the get up and go!

but first I MUST remove my flaking nail polish!

Mags_cat glad you had a good time fishing despite the lack of fish, perhaps they were all stranded at the airport??

Today I must

finish my list (wherever it is-back on page 40 something)
go shopping
do some gardening (including build my cold frame :j:j:j:j:j:j:j)
do some school stuff

Buts first I'd better get washed and dressed!!!:rotfl::rotfl:

Put a load of junk in the attic, which is nearly full! Upstairs is looking a bit more civilised.
Lunch next then off to market.

Wednesday ~ Master Bedroom & Landing
Level 1
Remove bed linen and replace with fresh linen

Level 2
Dust surfaces & make sure no cobwebs.. make sure to do the bed base.. mine was gross
Vacuum mattress before replacing fresh linen
15 minutes grotspot clearance
Level 3
Sort one area of clothes or linen storage making sure only what should be in there is, anything that's had it's day or doesn't belong there is removed
Defluff and demuck woodwork... skirtings, window frames, door frames dados, picture rails etc

Extras

1. Air the duvet.. fling it over the line for half an hour if you can.. fly away bugs!
2. Clean windows in these rooms

picked up my parcel (bundle of newborn baby clothes from ebay), done some more moving and sorting and have been out for lunch, then more moving and sorting. Car is going to have brakes checked at 2pm and then I'm going to nip to Mr T (eeek, never go there!) for some bits. Also have some baby stuff I am going to see from a lady who lives nearby but I need to persuade DH first as he's getting fed up with all the bits I am buying (which are all useful things!!).

Lovely day here...shame we are inside really!
