  • Hi Bagpuss, go to your sellers account page, then 'view your recent market place orders', you'll see the transactions all there.

    Hi all,

It seems that the guy I reported for multiple listing has had them removed. Not even 1 listed. I wonder if they have closed his account?

His user id is billmet13, can I find out if he has any listings left or if they have only taken the ones I pointed out off.

If they have only done the ones I listed then he has a lot more. If however they have stopped him trading then this will be a stark warning to others.

    His shop is still open.

Fingers crossed for some SDN's for you.

Just a word of caution, make sure you always check your sellers account. Yesterday (8th August) I received a SDN for a book I had sold on the 4th !!!!

Luckily I use my sellers account to print out my dispatch notes and the sale had not been missed. Some sellers use the SDNs to pick, pack and post their sales.

  • Hi just checking in - just returned from my hols this afternoon. have switched off my holiday settings so now need to see lots of SDN emails!

Whilst on hols i have decided to run this as a business and as such need to increase the number of books I have. Question is - once the car boot season is finished where do you get your books from? I have tried charity shops but they seem to be too expensive.

    Hi Netty

As the seller has supplied a book with a different isbn and different cover (materially different) to the one that you purchased I would expect them to give you the money for the return postage as well as your original purchase price and P&P. The problem with Amazon's system is that the seller can only refund your original purchase price and P&P. A way around this would be for them to send you a cheque or a prepaid/stamped envelope.

The Amazon A-Z Guarantee scheme is in place to protect buyers and Amazon do tend to side with buyers. If you cannot get the seller to agree to refund all of your costs (including the return postage) the A-Z is there to resolve the problem. I believe that if Amazon do find in your favour you will get a full refund and not have to return the book. You may want to advise your seller of this.

This is the link to the relevant Amazon Help page http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/help/customer/display.html/202-9632378-2627849?nodeId=3149571

If I was the seller in question I would probably tell you to keep the book and issue you with a full refund and an apology for your disappointment - I would then sit there for days with my fingers crossed that you didn't leave me negative feedback.

    Good luck

Damn - What a shame it wasn't you I bought the book from!;) Well I sent her the book back first class at a cost of £1.14 and informed her that this is what it cost, but she has only refunded me the standard amount and not the return fee. I don't think that I could of kept it and got a refund because accidents happen - we are only human!! She only has 1 feedback so if I leave negative it will really make an impact and I am afraid I just can't bring myself to do it, even though she was rude in her e-mails and tried to tell me it was the one stated, even though it was a different isbn and cover (which I had pointed out). I thought as she only had 1 feedback and was obviously just starting out, as we all once did, I would give her a chance but it has now made me wary of people with low feedback.

I am not sure whether to e-mail her and cause a fuss over £1.14, but then again it is the principle of it that is annoying.

    Ho Hum!!
