Yesterday I was sent some cards from first direct (who I have banked with for 14 years and I would highly recommend). If I recommend anyone and they open an account & pay in £100 they will get £25 and so will I!!! If anyone wants one of these recommendation cards PM me and I will send you one.
Thanks0 -
If you tect them for an application, or print outt he form on adobe reader would you still qualify for the offer as long as you put the reference on there?
This would by pass the need to speak to anyone?0 -
Applied online, quoted the reference, sent the form back to them without any ammendments or anything. I'm not too worried about whether or not i get the bonus, since it seems they have the best ISA rates so i will transfer my ISA to them at some point anyway. Seriously impressive customer service when i called them to discuss transferring... Thanks again for this website, Martin, its an absolute GODSEND.0

Well, application form not recieved yet but already had some junk mail from First Direct this morning - with my name completely wrong! (using my first name as surname for some wierd reason!)0

jane.e wrote:Just tried to get my £25, but in the course of converastion I confessed that I had previously held an account with First Direct that I closed last year. The guy I was talking to told me I wouldn't be eligible for the offer as a 'new' customer because the bank hold customer records on file for 7-8 years after closure! Consequently, I would still appear as one of their existing customers.
We have a joint account with them at the moment but they never said it was a problem for me to open my own account and get the £250 -
Would appreciate it if you could send me one please.

I wonder if they are delaying sending the applications out in order to minimise the £25 rebate.....
If I havent got it by tomorrow and going to ring them back - and ask them to remove me from their junk mail lists!!
That's the one gripe I have with First Direct - the amount of trees they waste is ridiculous! :mad:0 -
I asked 2 people about postcards but nobody got back to me. If anyone has a £25 postcard, which will earn you £25 too, pm me please0
