Besides this one, if you check their terms and conditions, I found that they were giving £20-00 for every mistake they made. Luckily for me, they made 5 ! So I got £100-00 as well as the £25-00. They might have changed that but do check. Anyway,I am now moving to Abbey who are offering £40-00 for switching accounts ( minimum £250-00 into account if you are self employed ) They give £50-00 if they make a mistake. Guess what, they have just made a mistake switching my account, so lucky me !!!0

One question, can you open an account if you already have one, I guess not, but not sure.
Further note to Martin's comment about the service, you may not get much interest on your current account but their customer service is absolutely second to none, excellent on the phone and their website is pretty much everything you need. Recommend it.0

What they used to offer was £20 if something went wrong with opening your account. For example if they messed up somehow when transferring your DDs from your old bank account or, I don't know, made a mistake with your personal details.
I sent off my DD transfer form when I first joined and IIRC they promised to do it within 5 days. Nothing happened with mine, and when I queried it they claimed they had no record of it, but paid me £20 and sent me another form to fill in.
Not sure if they do this anymore.0

Just spent 5mins on the phone speaking to a very nice and giggly lady who could not do enough for me. I made up a storry that i had re-cycled that copy of the times but still had the details of the add, "not a problem" see said and the application pack is in the post, but to get the £25 you have to get it all sorted by May 21st.
Horray for free money!! Thanks Martin.0

would it be a problem if, after receiving the £25, I take all the money out and leave a balance of zero but not close the account?0
