Yesterday on my local free paper I noticed one that I'd never seen before!

"Witnesses to an assault are bing sought"

I know they *sort of* sound similar, but you'd expect a paper to be more careful - or who wrote this? The local school drop-out? hehe

You would usually expect to see "witnesses are BEEN sought".

Another one is the use of the word fulsome. Some bloke from the Observer yesterday said that Gordon Brown made a fulsome apology to that woman in Rochdale. I'm guessing that that's not what he meant, but he was very probably right!!

"Witnesses are being sought", surely... ;)

Yes, I know what it should be, :rotfl:, but we are discussing mistakes!

Asda tell you to ask a colleague if you need assistance. A colleague? How would one of my colleagues know where to find something on the shelves at Asda?

Haha, never thought of that one! Lol. :rotfl:

    Adore this thread!

My nephew told me he was going to 'win me' the other day in a game.
I replied that he was not, because I'm not a prize!
I got the response 'Oh, okay!'.

    Sheesh!

Can any one tell me if I'm right please. "Forgot password?" is often written on log in pages. Surely it's a question and should be "Forgotten Password?"

I can't believe it! I've just listened to a Will Young track 'I won't give up' and in the second verse he sings 'I will worship you, put you on a pedal stool' :D.
