Call from "UK Claims" - possible scam

I had a long conversation with 2 gents this evening. They were from UK Claims. It was a Walsall number but they gave me a London contact number.

I am owed money from a PPI repayment that I received in which fees were paid. I was getting this money back and in order to not pay any handling fee on this repayment I had to make a tax free investment for this financial year. Their suggestion was a life policy.

It all sounded plausible as the figures they were quoting were all very similar to what they would be wrt to my real claim.

They even gave me a claim number.

They had the majority of my details and they only got agitated when I said I wouldn't give them my account number and sort code.

They are going to phone me back tomorrow. But if anyone else knows anything about this I'd be grateful.

Confirmation of it being a scam would be appreciated.
