I managed to speak to an agent before the closed the phone lines. She told me that they have had this problem all morning and that I had done the right thing to go buy the bag. She took my details and then we got cut off! When I called back they now say it's only selected items are £1. Very misleading! When I clicked on the sale link I expect to be taken to the sale, not a treasure hunt! There were no sale links at all! I have emailed them asking them to honour the £1 price. I will keep you posted when the respond.
hmmmm im not sure they will fall for that one .0 -
Can't believe all the moans on here. That was one of the best sales EVER!
And judging by the prices on the site,i can't see them being too bothered about losing £1/a shot customers0 -

My experiences with this "sale" this morning really put me in a bad mood today!
I was on the site at 7.24 and I'm sure there were already sold out signs on some of the items - how could this have been possible?
I was able to view the clothes for about 10 minutes before it all went pear-shaped but wasn't able to get as far as to be able to pay for anything.
I know you have to be mainly lucky in these situations and well done to all the MSE-ers who managed to buy something but I do have a rather negative feeling towards this company now.
Hey-ho, I just hoped for a bit of designer magic I guess!!I have the simplest tastes. I am always satisfied with the best.

I'm sure it was one of the best sales ever if you actually managed to get onto the site and checkout an item without it crashing five thousand times!!0

True
and now I have to lengthen my post to more than 10 characters because just to say "True" is too shortI have the simplest tastes. I am always satisfied with the best.

I'm not trying to trick anyone. The sale link didn't take me to the sale page! The service team just called full of apologies. The same thing with the incorrect link has happened to quite a few people. They have offered me a full refund which i'm happy with. They charge £8 for returns and you don't get the delivery costs back either.0 -

Yeah I can't believe Iam moaning about the fact I spent hours this mroning hoping to use my RSVP..Best sale ever if you were extremely lucky to enter the site and checkout..after all their hype about the 1st anniversary it turned out to be a joke.
Agreed! I've let theoutnet know how disappointing it was that their site couldn't cope with the traffic. Maybe they'll think their next sale through a little more!0
