How did it go Ted with CCCS?
Vic did you ever get the HSBC loan sorted out?....
Hey PDD, haven't sorted yet, waiting for feedback from CCCS on paperwork I sent them. Will give them a nudge later this week if I haven't heard anything.
I've got about another week before HSBC start stalking me again!Paddle No 16

I just wanted to post a message for anyone in the earlier stages of setting up their DMP. I was just clearing out my bag and found endless mini-statements going back to November. All of them had tons of adding up and taking away and it brought me right back to the fear I had then that I was sinking fast. I will burn them tonight as that is firmly behind me. The DMP and CCCS have saved my sanity. I used to spend my mornings looking out for the postman and what bill he would bring that day that I couldn't pay. Now, because I have a clear budget, I don't even think about money that much. Of course it would be great if all my income was mine, but that is a possibility in the future. Without a DMP none of my income was mine and I'd rather have half than none at all.Paddle no. 12

Hi
after months of getting myself in debt i have sunk deeper into depression and have now defaulted on 2 loans and an overdraft. i havent slept properly for ages and feel so sick.
i have contacted cccs this morning and agreed a DMP, have i done the right thing?
i was told to make token payments this month, i get paid tomorrow, and they will then set up the plan.
have i done right???LBM- may2010:A0 -

I dread my husband having a day off work and opening the post! i have tried every cunning way to get to the post first, even insisting on us going to the gym on a saturday morning so i can open the door first and grab the post on the way home. i guess reading it and writing it down makes you realise how desperate things have become. i am feeling more positive today and although my DMP hasnt been started yet at least i have made the right steps (fingers crossed!)LBM- may2010:A0 -

Hi Regret - welcome to the thread:):)
You have done absolutely the right thing, back in January I was in the same boat, dreading the post, dreading the phone calls so would unplug the phone, worrying where I could find the money to just even buy the essentials.
We're with CCCS and they have been wonderful, is your O/D with the bank that you use? Did CCCS advise you to open a new basic bank account with a different bank - that way all that goes into it is yours.
One thing is for sure - you are not alone on here! This thread is wonderfully supportive, whether you want to laugh, cry or just vent your frustrations!!
Things will get better now - you have taken that giant first step, well done you, here's a dodgy hug:grouphug:LBM Jan 2010
