Hello my usual catching up posting frenzy,
It seems that news of interest rates has hit everyone hard. We're locked in for another 3 yes with Abbey/Santander. We did what had been mentioned before just ringing and renewing with them and not paying an arrangement fee, no credit checks etc. We do get the news here and i try and keep upto date but it's quite nice to feel not so inundated with the media coverage that the UK gets.
The only DMP news i have, is that it is now month 13 and March will include a payment increase of £38 yahoooo(lol).
I also get updates from equifax and it says i now have a default on a loan - the only loan i have is with Royal Wossits of rubbishdom. So we'll see what letters start arriving, only took them a year.
Right keep your chins up all, we're all battling away and that is the main thing. Take care x0 -
Hi Folks,
I'm in the throes of setting up a DMP & thought I'd say hi. I hope to update regularly and tap the collective conscious occasionally if that's OK. :wave:0 -

Hi Nitty, not actually tried to get any money back. It is only Barclaycard who are still chargeing me interest though.
Has anyone had there Water rates for the coming year sent to them yet? As soon as I get mine I can do my Payplan Annual review. So far I am £5.43 worse off a month and if my Water does not go up by much I will ask to keep paying what I did last year and hope for at least a small payrise sometime this year. Don't want to wake the angry beasts until I have to.Paddle No 21 :wave:0 -

Hi everyone just a quick update. Not much to report except that the money is running out before the end of the month and it is look more likely that I will have to review my payments and reduce what the creditors get each month. Trying to hold off until May when the interest rates are likely to go up then we can do 1 review for the hole lot, worried how the creditors will react.
When we set out on our DMP last June we tried to ensure we paid the maximum amount to the creditors however over the past year with the increase in petrol, utility bills, food bills and my daily parking fees and no pay rise for me and my OH have compounded things and money is tight.
So a review is due really worried but it has to be done.
So thats my update hope everyone is well.

On a lighter note we have got a fab holiday booked on our Tesco vouchers. I had saved up for ages and we are having a week on a canal boat in August. :jSo I appreciate we are very lucky with that. (the travelodge in the lorry park will have to wait till next year:T)
Still got nothing definite about OH's redundancy except that it will happen, just not sure when. No jobs around here but I just can't spen 24/7 worrying about it as have been here so many times before.

It sounds like you fully understand what we are going through. Funny you mention Travellodge we have just returned from a 2 day stay in a Travellodge for £27.50 for the 4 of us paid for by our Christmas Money. Won £10 on the lottery last night which paid for our breakfast this morning in Wetherspoons.

Mine was £355. My sister had to have a water meter installed when she moved into her bungalow three years ago and it makes a lot of difference to her costs. As a single person, I know if I had one it would be cheaper but as I live in a block of flats I don't think that will happen. If mine goes up by as much as yours did I will cut back on the hair, clothing etc bit of the budget to keep the same money going to the predators. 2012 will not be so lucky as things frozen this year will be chargeing again. So I'm hoping to do two years at the same and hope they don't get narked when I want/need to pay less in 2012.
Holiday sounds good vlue. :TPaddle No 21 :wave:0
