Hi all,
no visitors since x-mas but still getting letters from Mercers on behalf of Barclaycard saying they "may" call. Have sent letters from template on here - think it was Mikon's? about only letting postman and people asking for directions onto the property. Checked back through the ever-increasing DMP file I now keep and realised its a standard letter they are sending same date each month. All good otherwise.0 -

Great news!
Call me a devil but now I look forward to a call, hell have I got a tongue lashing ready for them. They will not return in a hurry
Celebrate the landmark.

Morning everybody
Not a great deal to report really.
I've had my weekly Santander Credit Card arrears letter. What a waste of three pages! Arrears are going down though.
My DFD has been put back as well due to Santander not giving me accurate info ( I blame them for everything even though it's all my fault really).
Everything else is quiet.
Still skint, still paying my dues, and lifes isn't really that bad.

Casting bad vibes over to Santander for you E2. I had a simular situation with DFD. Original duration hoped for 42 month, now probably 6 months more. Three contributing factors, had one month of tokens, after 6 months I reduced DMP payment by 4% on CCCS advice and most but not all creditors have stopped interest, 7 stopped, 4 reduced and Hellifex (shame on you) continue to rob me blind. I keep spreadsheets for everything now. Initially my debt increased by 2.5% but this time next week I will have made my 10th payment and cleared just over 17%. All in all heading in the right direction, keep trying to celebrate the small triumphs to keep me going, if you look hard enough there's something positive every month.
Hope everyone having a good weekend.

'if you look hard enough there's something positive every month.......'
Certainly is... Alton Towers re opens this week with tickets on Buyagift for £12 Hanging over the edge on Oblivion is a sure way to forget those creditors for a few minutes...:j Petrol will be a killer though, may have to free wheel all the way!
That reminds me of a topic on here many moons ago :rotfl:0 -

That's a bargain Teds, you're fab at finding them! A cut back on food spends will see you right, it will be worth it for the pleasure you gain. We have to have the odd treat here and there or we'd go even more insane!
Any good finds in Aldi recently?

Has anybody taken on, or considered, a second job?
I was thinking maybe of knuckling down and doing something (pizza delivery?!) to save up to maybe do F & F or something. Maybe do another job for a year or so.
I'm sort of thinking out loud really.
Anybody any thoughts or advice?

Hi all just catching up whilst others eyes aren't around its been a week or so, and the OH has been in hospital with an Op so have been busy playing nurse!
So onto other jobs. Before i left the UK and and had my lightbulb moment, i was working a full time shift job which enabled me to workon my 3-4 days off. Please please think carefully before doing this as the financial benefits are good but health wise, stress of working so many days in a row etc don't always out weigh the benefit of that extra money.
I was lucky that i worked in promo, auditing and merchandising so i was given a area of work, but around 100 mile radius and 3 weeks to complete it in, it was lucrative (if i had been saving to pay off) not go on holiday ooops but it can be destructive e.g sorry i can't spend time with you i'm working again.
So just my side of the story, weigh up the pro and cons 1st.
