Oh ljm what a dilema! Ive almost avoided going into my fav shops as the temptation and knowledge I cant spend is too great. I blame the kids, their stuff is far too tempting :rotfl::rotfl:
I can avoid the shops, its the catalogues! I seem to be on the "yummy mummy wannabe" mailing list:rotfl:Paddle no. 12

Hey ljm23k, I know, it's really hard... That said, you'll notice on these threads people point out the need to treat yourself, maybe not the dishwasher, tumble dryer or THAT dress, but maybe the kiwi jam once in a while
I know I need some treats but I have been trying to deprive myself on purpose as I had lost all enjoyment of birthdays and Christmas, but both are long way off!Paddle no. 12

Yay! :j
I know it's not the same but Allrecipes.com have what looks like a good recipe for Kiwi jam...
we could make it a home ed experiment!
I'm over the dress already, its more the unnerving feeling of slipping back into my old thought patterns. Its time to email all catalogues I get and tell them to stop sending them, its like being held to ransom by Boden "pre order now for Spring/summer and get 20% off" IT WAS OCTOBER!!! I used to get catalogues from them on a weekly basis but cancelled so now its time to ditch them all:jWhat I can't see, I can't covet, LOLPaddle no. 12

Have you read the book about slummy mummy - hilarious, could have written it myself, have been known to go up to school with my pjs under my jeans :rotfl:
Haven't read it but there is no hope of my pjs fitting under my jeans, I don't even fit under my jeans!:rotfl: (have not accepted the body changes of having 3 kids!)Paddle no. 12

Think I get what you mena ljm23k, sometimes I catch myself 'forgetting' I've no CCs then Bump, back down to earth...
This was the first day I really felt like I wanted something unattainable and it scared me, not even because of having no credit but the feeling of discontentment that came back, always trying to "keep up" with everyone else and I had left that behind for awhile and was enjoying being frugal.
But tomorrow is another day and catalogues are BINNED!:TPaddle no. 12
