Let us know how 1st Credit deal with you. I have three Santander accounts and don't really relish dealing with the devil that is 1st Credit.
I also have three Santander accounts, are 1st Credit that bad?

    Hey guys,

Have just spoken to them and told them Santander had agreed and had been receiving my payment of £x per month, do I need to be paying this amount to you now? The little dude took a few details, said fine, I'll send you a standing order mandate. Cool said I. Job done.

    Surprised? Moi? Just a tad.

They weren't pleasant or helpful particularly, but they weren't rude and they didn't push me. Hopefully they've turned over a new leaf???

You can't imagine what my mind has been conjuring up regarding 1st credit when I saw your first post and eyeopeners response but thanks for the update I've started to breathe again now:T

I'd just heard so many awful things about them Ellie - sorry for worrying you! I'm sure they've had enough rollockings from the Ombudsman by now though so hopefully they are trying to behave!

No need to apologise, I'm just being a wuss at the moment. I suppose it's because I'm new to all this and just need to deal with a couple of these DCA's to harden up to it all:):o

    Morning

    A little update from me.

Santander current account statement came through and no charges will be added this month. Hurrah!

M&S cc statement and no charges again but a reminder that our arrangement is temporary.........not sure if thats a good thing. Its slightly worrying.

Everything else seems to be going ok but I do have a question........

Where is everybody? Is this thread no on its last legs?

Thats two questions but you get my drift.

    Hi eyeopener

I think the temporary thing is until your circumstances change for the better or until you are passed to a DCA. Some of them don't want to believe that a DMP is for the life of the the balance, not just for a while until your income improves etc.

I hope everyone comes back, all the mummies don't seem able to get online as much now the kids (especially the ones who can read:rotfl:) are home for summer. I have been reading posts most days but nothing DMP related to report, and not much advice to offer that hasn't already been said.

Hopefully its just a tad quiet while its the summer hols E2 I'm sure everyone will be back soon :) I still try to check in everyday, just in case!

Good news on Santander and I wouldn't worry about M&S - CrapOne said the same to me six months ago, it got to the six month point and they just asked for an updated situation. There wasn't one so things just continued as they were, no problems!

Oh I'm with you on that LJM, I'm already planning for it! Have decided to be 100% ready, down to the frozen veg, by 30th November! I'm looking forward to a stress free December this year!
