    Morning everyone,

just wanted to give a quick update on my situation. I've been working away from home this week and when I finally got through to OH (he took the "don't answer the phone" literally) he told me that we had a mountain of post but he hadn't opened any of it!

I came home last night but thought that I would leave the post until this morning and.... the majority of it was for insurance for the over 50's (it was his birthday last week!):rotfl:There was only 1 from a CC saying pay up or else and several confirming a change of DD payment.

After years of panic and turmoil, I suddenly feel so much better and so glad that I have taken this step. So, to anyone thinking of a DMP I just want to say that even in these early stages I know that it has been the right decision and I can now look forwards and not back.

I cherish this forum and the advice, support and humour that is given by everyone. :T

    Hi guys!

Heart sank when posty came this morning - a letter from 1st Credit :(!! Bl00dy Santander (even though they've agreed and have been taking my money quite happily) have passed me over. I'm not so mad at being passed to a DCA, coz thats usually ok, its just this particular DCA. Oh well, deep breath, will deal with it on Monday...

well postie didnt get a kiss blew at him this morning. Had a reply to my letter to halifax asking them to consider stopping interest. They replied to say that in light of my finanical situation they would suggested I contact either payplan or CCCS for them to send them a copy of my current financial statement and then they would consider an arrangement ????? either I'm confused or they are .... my original letter to them stated I was already with CCCS. Any way in the same post was my monthly halifax statement but this time they havent charged any interest at all. really dont know what is going on not sure whether just to ignore the first letter as they obviously havent checked my account to see I'm already on a DMP with them and just to be happy with no interest charges this month and wait to see what happens with my next statement, its all good fun I think:)
  • Just running through to chase the tumbleweeds out!!!!

    Hope everyone's well.

Candypop I'd ignore hellifax and see what next month brings.

Let us know how 1st Credit deal with you. I have three Santander accounts and don't really relish dealing with the devil that is 1st Credit.

    Hi G

Not much chance I believe, the interest is front loaded on loans so you've probably already paid it (or that is how I understand it).

My loans have just accepted that they will get there money back over a longer period of time. The same amount owed, i'm just paying them less each month

Loans seem to be the easiest to deal with cos your dealing with a fixed amount. Now credit cards............
