    Hello everyone

I'd like a paddle number please! :) I have just contacted Payplan with the aim of setting up a DMP. I figured it's the only way I will be able to pay off my debt seen as what I pay each month is only the minimum so the totals never go down!

Any advice people want to give me would be greatly appreciated. Just bits like, how long it took to set up, if you had nay trouble from your creditors and stuff! I very new to all of this so any info you think is interesting or helpful would be great!

    afternoon all.

well DMP 1st payment went out but have had a letter from cccs saying natwest had declined my offer, but i had a letter from natwest saying they had accepted. its all very confusing.

had a letter from Direct Line today saying they will cancel my car insurance policy on 8th july as i missed a payment. does anyone know if I would be able to get them to reinstate my policy if i make up the payment or is that it?

i get paid on wednesday but think im still going to be short on money this month because of paying my registration for work and now my car insurance.

    when will this ever end???

I am here just been very quite on DMP front. Creditors have received first payment. Still no response from SHITI regarding freezing interest but maybe now first payment has been made they may reconsider.

Been on some other threads and have read alot of horror stories about CCJ being taken out on people who are on DMPs. Quite worrying but put it to the back of my mind.

Barclaycard have accepted offer froze interest although Barclays Bank did not accept offer on loans or overdraft, so I may write and ask them to reconsider.

Wrote to the chancellor about my problems and the hassle that creditors give people in financial difficulty so I am awaiting a response. I have asked him to legislate and standardise the process. I just wonder if he will reply.

So thats me up to date.

    Regards

Hope your well. I read with interest that CCCS wrote to you regarding your creditor refusing to accept the offer made. I have heard nothing from CCCS I have to ring them and whilst i appreciate what they do I can only speak from my experience and that is that I have phoned or wrote to creditors asking if they accept the offer I see CCCS as the money brokers once a month they send the money to the creditors I do not see them doing anything other than that once the DMP has started. They have not once contacted me to update me on which creditors have or have not accepted. When I do contact them they have a standard phrase continue paying the offered amount they may accept or they will pass it on to a DCA. I have had horrendous problems with CITI and to my knowledge they have not acted or liaised with CITI to try and resolve the matter. I have to say I thought they did more than what they are doing for me.

thanks mikon. i agree with you, i feel like i should be grateful to cccs for helping me through difficult times. however sometimes i have felt as though maybe i have put too much trust into them. i set up my dmp at the begining of may and they apparently sent letters out on 21st may to all of my creditors, however i am still reciving letters and when i speak to creditors they say they have heard nothing from cccs. if i ask cccs they tell me not to worry and they will not re send any letters.

it does worry me slightly as i feel maybe they seem too laid back with it all and dont really realise that the person on the end of the phone is anxious and stressed and all of those things, and to be told to wait a bit longer is nerve wracking.

the letter i recieved today from cccs was sparodic and i have not recieved anything else. the letter did just say that natwest had declined but then the famous lines...we will just keep paying your token payments and they will pass you on to a DCA...

I had a creditor who claimed they had not received an offer, apparently sometimes they get lost in the creditors internal system. Surprisingly that creditor wrote to me last week and said they accepted the offer. CCCS declined to resend until 1 month after the original letter had been sent. Anyway they have got it now.

Try not to worry CCCS send all the offers etc electronically so the creditors does receive it.

    Regards
