  • DMP gremlin has struck again. I went to see a friends new house tonight. Another friend picked me up at the train station where I chained my bike. I merrily waved her goodbye when she dropped me off, after a very nice evening. To discover some ba**ard had nicked my front wheel and back light. So I dragged it home through the park in the dark, rather than risk anything else getting pinched off it. Not liking the price of a new wheel.

Hi, newbie here, just in the process of setting up a dmp with payplan. Please may I join this board? I have used his forum many times for info and really would like to feel less alone during this process. I hope I can also be a support to peeps down the line as well. Debt free day April 2025 seems a long way off lol! :)

    Morning all

R12, Welcome. I hope you find this safe haven useful support. As you say before you know it you will be the one helping others. I learnt so much from this thread and the DMP mututal support 5 & 6 back pages when I first joined. Good luck with your DMP set up, I hope it all goes smoothly.

Gibbs, am sure you are right re budget implications, am sure the VAT rise will disproportionatley affect the poorest people. Hugs re the bike. Some people! Sorry to smile during your woes but it did remind me of one of my favourite anecdotes, ' if it's got balls or wheels it's going to cost ya'!

Mikon, the message I keep getting from CCCS is just head down and settle the DMP in and then you will see different behaviour from the Preditors.

Hugs to Regret and anyone else who needs em.

Pure, don't forget to mention your huge lottery win when you have your 6 month review.

Tesco have terminated my account. I assume this means I will get referred to a DCA. Does anyone know anything about termination? I can't wait for Friday when the Preditors get their first payment. CCCS appear to have reflected this on the balances already. Does anyone know if this is usual? I think Eyeopener and Mikon has the same start date, does anyone else?

Hi to everyone else. Enjoy the sunshine and the footy

PDD - meant to ask with you mentioning your review, is your budget ok? I seem to be doing ok ish on mine..

HH - Hello! Laughing re 'preditors' - it's perfect. My DMP started June 1st so my 1st payment is due to go to them round about now. My CCCS statement had my payment on it but was blank last time I looked, hoping that means my creditors have written my debts off :rotfl:

I have been terminated (always reminds me of Daleks)and that was followed by a transfer to an in house collector which was then followed by a DCA...

Hope everyone has a good day, looking forward to the football :footie: (well, kind of, more like hide behind a cushion and risk a peek now and again)

    Morning ted

been really busy at work and away a lot.
Re this review, thought it was a bit early but have a question. So Amex have kept adding interest on, more than present payment, if my CCCS payment goes up (probably will), does that mean that prorata Amex will actually get more money thereby benefitting by adding extornionate amount of interest on and the creditors who suspended interest right away will lose out prorata? Does this make sense and does anyone know, would like to know before i phone CCCS.

  • yup and I'm afraid I don't think that's very fair, and gives crediotrs no incentive to stop interest.........

  • yup even reported them to FOS for unfair practice but none of that will make a difference if they get a higher payment because they are still adding on interest, makes a mockery of treating all creditors the same when you think about it iyswim

    Morning all!

I'm blinking fed-up today, I've had the CCCS review letter too, but I've also had 2 statements statements from creditors still charging interest. Ones charging £25 interest and getting a £8 monthly payment, and I don't have the other to hand but I know they're charging £30 a month and not getting that much, so it leaves me with 2 balances that are increasing rather than decreasing. Just leaves me feeling like there's no bl00dy point trying sometimes. One's only got a balance of around £300, just wish I had the cash to pay it off, to pay both of them off really seeing as pretty much everyone else is behaving. I'm soooo tempted to try and pull together the cash for the minimum payments just to stop them with the charges, but I know that's not allowed.

Sorry for rambling, just feeling all down in the dumps.
  • yup New its the same situation and it makes a mockery, really keen to get an answer from someone who has had a review so that I can find out what exactly happens, don't want to be uninformed when doing this review.

  • letter is quite comprehesive, so I think I'll just phone them and see what is what, not in a great mood.

Thanks, have sent letters before and CCCS have sent them details countless times too, will have another go soon, just find it hard to get motivated to doing letters when I feel as though they're not even being read.

Sometimes I feel as though I do nothing but moan....
