LJM have you looked to see if you can get the same or similar degree via the Open University? Might be worth a look on their website because you can get the course fees paid even if you have a fairly high (IMO anyway) family income - for us with one child I get full course funding and a course grant (non-repayable) of £260 based on an income of £22k. Might be worth a look?Paddle #8 DFW Nerd #12840

OU only does History of Art (theory) but the same funding grants apply to OCA. I assumed we wouldn't qualify. My DH earns around £22,000 and we have 3 kids, so we get child benefit and tax credit that amounts to £8400. Are tax credit and CB counted as income in this case?Paddle no. 12

I've been looking into this, I don't think I qualify as I have been to university and got a student grant before.

(((((shakes head in disbelief)))))
Spoke to Santander yesterday, they were asking me to pay and hadn't heard from CCCS, and they gave me an account number that was different to the one I had given CCCS. I thought i'd made a mistake so I called CCCS to amend it.
So far so good.
This morning I receive a letter from Santander demanding money with the ORIGINAL ACCOUNT NUMBER ON IT! I checked with Santander and it seems the young person I spoke to gave me the wrong information. So I had to ring CCCS AGAIN who will now send the paperwork out AGAIN.
Honestly, what on earth is going on.
On the plus side I made £3-00 on a survey this morning and I have an invitation to be part of a paid focus group later this month.
Odd day as usual.

Good News Today
CITI rang today "can you pay £86.00 today, sorry I can't well i am going to default you and this will have an impact on your credit rating" ok. How long are you going to be in financial difficulties my reply I do not know how long will the global recession last? alternatively how long will it be before BP cap the oil leak. His reply i don't know my response exactly.
You have my SOA and an offer has been made to you by the way are you accepting the offer made Yes we are but I had to ring and try and get a payment out of you. Sorry no can do but thank you for accepting the offer. Anything else No goodbye then.
On the face of it the guy was ok and I guess he only has a job to do.

LJM -sorry I can't help. Is it worth talking to CCCS for advice. they gave me a number of options re my car that I need for work. Can't do any harm can it? Best of luck

Just got a default letter from HSBC
It requires me to make a minimum payment in respect of each statement I have received by failing to make minimum payments. (I pay less than the min amount on my DMP) If I clear the overdue amount (£368) by June 25th no further action will be taken. If I don't pay then they will terminate the agreement and demand that (£368 and any interest) be paid immediately.
So what do you reckon DCA beckons or county court?
I'm a bit worried :eek:Paddle number 22

Hi can anyone help? I am starting a dmp soon and have just had my asda statement which is on dmp(when it starts) and its £60 over credit limit. Do i need to bring this in to line or is it just a token as normal while awaiting dmp. Or will they not accept dmp as over limit? Thanksx0

I was over on my Halifax account and they accepted but the amount owing was small. The only trouble is that when you are over they could add interest and before you know it you are in arrears even though you are paying monthly on your DMP.
It's a problem I am having with my HSBC Credit card account (posted above) I have to bring it below the agreed credit limit or they will terminate the account and take further action.Paddle number 22

Hi, my cap1 account was over limit when I started the DMP. They were one of the first to accept., so in my case, it didn't matter. I suppose it depends on the creditor so may be best to ask CCCS or whoever is managing your DMPPaddle no. 12
