    morning all,

Well done Mama re the job glad all went well yesterday:j

PDD, yes it must be hard when your kids flea the nest, not something Im looking forward to! but think of the experience they are getting, I never done anything at all still live in the same town I grew up in, really wish I'd done something exciting before getting all settled down and serious, I see everyone now wizzing off round the world doing great things and feel very jealous, I think its wonderful that they are so confident and strong to do it (may change my tune when mine are old enough to do it though), or maybe I could convince them to let me go too, i would pretend not to be their Mum!!!!!!!!!

True I done Avon a few years ago, not much of a success though although I was pregnant at the time with baby No.2 so probably didnt put much effort into it. I tried the door to door method but no-one left them out and wernt home when I called back, but I would say if you have friends and family you could pass them out to and shops with a high amount of females working in you could do ok and get regulars from them, your chippy would be great I work in one too and a lady used to come in and leave a book in and most of us ordered out of it, give it ago you've nothing to loose, cant really remember but do you have to pay anything out to start? I dont think you do, I also done tupperware years and years ago never made any fortunes there either and it was all party plan so a bit of a pain in the bum. Good luck with it if you decide to give it a go.

Hope everyone else is doing ok, im off now to do my budget (put it off yesterday......again) lots of token payments to do too! OH spoke to barclaycard yesterday and they said no to freezing interest he said they froze for me for 28 days and she said o no we dont do that.......how strange!!!!!!!! honestly they really havnt a clue what they're doing:mad:

Speak later guys, have a good day.

Andy D, Barclaycard are an odd bunch

I received my first post DMP statement from Barclaycard, the balance has myseriously increased but it does look like they have frozen all interest and charges from this point on. As long as I keep paying the agreed sum. Nothing to say why the balance has increased from last month though. Mmmmmm.

This DMP lark really is swings and roundabouts!

Right, off to the post office to post yet another parcel to Music Magpie, slowly building up my emergency fund which should hit £100 when they pay me for these CD's. Seems quite strange having a savings account after all this time. I'm sad to see the cd's go but they were all bought on credit over the years I would guess so they are going bit by bit. My books are proving more tricky to sell but I will persevere.

Depends what you mean by good to be honest.

Its worth a go on the website but you soon find out that your precious cds are not worth a great deal, it is less hassle than ebay though.

I use it to get rid really and declutter (everythings copied to my hard drive which is probaly wrong but I don't care).

Anything that I think may be worth something I put on ebay or Amazon other than that its Music Magpie. Last package (today) was 29 cds for £25-00.

Most offer are from 30p to £1-00 though so you have to be quite hard with yourself really.

    Hope this helps.

I can answer this. If you go to the music magpie site it you can type in the bar code number and they will tell how much you will get. Be aware though that the value can vary depending on how many of a certain CD they already have and sometimes what you are offered is very low, eg 30p!!! Also, they can refuse to pay put without returning if the condition isn't good.

    Afternoon all,

Well I took the plunge and done the new budget and guess what ......... I'm soooooooo glad I did, things are not as bleak as I thought they would be, with a bit of tweaking and cutting back we are only down about £25 per week on our DMP payment, I am really delighted I really thought we had nothing left to put towards the DMP. Big big weight of my sholders:j:j

It will mean we are on a low start dmp but hopefully it wont be forever its just for now until things pick up for DH on the job front.

Plan to phone CCCS on Monday to inform them of the progress but would like to run on my budget for a month or 2 before starting the DMP officially, just so I can get to grips with it and have a bit of cash saved for emergencies I will put the DMP money away too so I am ahead of myself when I start.

Football is on in our house already (boring) few months ago I would of taken myself of shopping but Im happy to say I'll not be doing that and to be honest have no desire to.

No more dmp-ing for me over the weekend going to relax and chill out maybe with a bottle of wine or two.

Brilliant news Andy!:D Wish we'd done the token tango for a few months, would have helped with the dmp disaster gremlins that have had their teeth into us so that sounds a great idea to me.

Have a great dmp free weekend let the stress go! Enjoy the wine too and have one for me!
