    Latest update:
I have just received my credit card statement from HSBC and despite my letter requesting they stop interest they are still charging interest on the account. This is starting to mount up as arrears. My original balance was £6,000.00 and is now £6,270.00 and they are asking a minimum payment of £525.00 which obviously I cannot pay.

I have received several phone calls from them in the past week and despite them saying they know of the situation regarding myself being on a DMP with PayPlan and that the calls would now stop, they still keep persisting with phone calls and I have to explain to them all over again.

I am concerned about this as this debt is mounting up each month as they state they will only accept a minimum of £61 for this account instead of the £43 I am already paying.

Anyone had this kind of situation happen to them?

I'm not with HSBC but I think some of the banks like to go a little crazy with the charges, in a kind of 'get what we can before we accept kind of way, try not to panic, they can't do this forever and they usually calm down once they've had a couple of payments, you could always try writing to them yourself - could be worth a shot?

But remember the DMP chant - 'They can't have what I haven't got'

CITI have hiked my minimum payment ups and hit me with massive charges/interest. I wrote to the Head guy about this but to no avail. So I am just sitting back relaxing thinking to myself well if I cannot pay the minimum now how can i pay the bigger one and i know it is worrying about the debt increasing but it will be temporary i am sure of this. Just relax I am sure people on here will agree with me and they also supported me through my rough times. We have all been here Jeddy5. Another thing is that when I spoke to Barclays about the money i owed them they said I could reclaim the charges they had applied sine the DMP came into play it might be worth investigating that route once things settle down. Also you could ask for the original Credit Agreement it might be that they cannot produce it and then the debt is unenforceable but that is another route you could investigate. I am sure someone on here can advise.

Depends what you mean by good to be honest.

Its worth a go on the website but you soon find out that your precious cds are not worth a great deal, it is less hassle than ebay though.

I use it to get rid really and declutter (everythings copied to my hard drive which is probaly wrong but I don't care).

Anything that I think may be worth something I put on ebay or Amazon other than that its Music Magpie. Last package (today) was 29 cds for £25-00.

Most offer are from 30p to £1-00 though so you have to be quite hard with yourself really.

    Hope this helps.

If anyone is selling books you can try greenmetropolis. I've sold loads there, you get £3 for every book.

Just managed to settle DD, who whilst in the bath was using a plastic cup to get extra leverage on her wobbly tooth, very effective but literally a bloodbath! Wonder where the dmp toothfairy is-there's no money for a visit this month! Stupidly the bar was set at £2 for the first one 18 months ago.....can the tooth fairy pay out according to quality? This is a tooth that she mangled with a key when she was 1!
Off for a cup of tea while you all enjoy your mis-shappen chocolate, wackos and wine:( I hate being good!!!!!!

Our tooth fairy pays £2 a tooth as well, but she always has to pay with a £2 coin, only problem is when mine loose a tooth I've never got the right coin - so then I end up raiding a money box for the last tooth fairy payout!!

    I know - BAD MUM :o
