Hi all

Havnt been on for a few days been out on lots of trips with kids, im knackered cant wait till schools back on monday and everythings normal again! We've had fun though, finishing things off tomorrow with swimming in the morning then on to the cinema.

Plan to get the dmp on the go next week, think the first thing i need to do is get the new bank account up and running would i be right? And what about switching the DD's is it advisable to let the new bank sort it out or can this cause problems as I have a £2000 overdraft with old bank?

Wish i could just wave a magic wand and it would all be done for me, its completely confusing me at the moment, think I might just be overthinking it all.

Hi NewB

I used the letter from the Debtline to send to RBS, its very good you can add your own little paragraph in, but the letter does tend to cover it. RBS have stopped interest even though they haven't confirmed to me they have. Definately give it try and if it doesn't work send it again , again , again and again! Don't forget to print digitally, take a copy for yourself and send recorded delivery, hassle but may be worth it.

Are you doing it with the CCCS? If so when are you expecting to start? Is your OD going into your DMP? If so don't move everything over quite yet as the bank will get wind of what your doing. Get your new bank account set up and ready to go. If you have tax credits being paid get the new details to them so it'll go to your new bank account. If your planning to start lets say 1st May cancel all your DD's to your cards, loans etc. The CCCS will explain about sending token payments and a notification of DMP letter. But it can take a little while for the pack to come through. This doesn't stop you cancelling the DD's and sending them token payments. It also means you'll be able to have a bit of spare cash to go into a emergency fund as you won't be using the cards now. Alot of people tend to send token payments for a couple of months until your up and running.

This is all the 1st step we've all been/going through it. If you've got any questions just let us know.

I got a medal!!! Wonder what its for/???

Newbeginning, we had awful trouble with OH's Crap One and they kept saying it was the wrong name, wrong signature, no account and OH was just going round in a circle, I was about to write to them and asking for a CCA and we got letter yesterday saying they accept and will stop interest!!!!! This is after OH spoke to someone who wouldn't discuss the account cos they said his name was wrong!!!!!! A big case of right hand and left hand being completely unconnected! gOOD LUCK WITH THEM.

Thanks everyone, Crapone have had the info more than once now but we still get letters from them saying they've not heard anything from us. The account's been passed on again this time to CSL who also say they've heard nothing from us. Got a letter yesterday saying they are coming on Wednesday, just getting soooooo fustrated with them, if other people can accept it and shut up why cant they??

Wheres the shrugging smiley gone?

On a more positive note, got my Mint statement as well yesterday, Interest rate shows a big fat 0%
