I'm suprised anyone actually fell for that scam in the first place -"we offer you 'not for profit' energy but happen to be more expensive than the majority of other providers".......lol.

I struggly to understand their army of happy customers content to pay well over the odds for their energy on grounds they've been told repetedly by the company that it isn't 'intending' to make a profit?

The word sucker comes to mind.....

I am such a low user that their tariff comes out third cheapest. The next two cheapest suppliers have exit fees of £50 or £60, but only a saving of around £5 and require direct debit payment. With Ebico, I get the cheapest supply, can pay my bill online quarterly and can have a bill posted to me. Win-win situation for me. Obviously, if you use more energy than me, they won't work out very cheap.

The only three tariffs cheaper for me are Scottish Power and npower. For a difference of £11 a year compared with the cheapest Ebico is a far better choice.

Scottish power and npower are not companies I'd want to deal with given some of the threads on this board.

I received a letter from them recently asking me I had moved from them.
There was a list of options and I ticked price.

There's the probable reason for no reply.

See your subject line has had ***SPAM*** added to it. Looks like it was filtered out by thier spam filter. Are you using some give away email account like hotmail, gmail etc?

That was my thought, but I have my own domain name which I used.

Perhaps they don't like "Dear Sirs" in the email?! Strange as two of my previous employers have always considered this the correct way of addressing a company in formal correspondence.

Which mail server do you use? The domain hosts or a different mail server?
If the domain hosts, it could be that that mail server is blacklisted (quite common as it'll use the same IP as many other domains on that host and some customers only set up accounts to use the mail server for spamming.
Check your mail server's IP is not on any of the spamhaus blocklists:
    http://www.spamhaus.org/lookup.lasso

If you are using a different mail server and effectively forging your email address by using your domain email address, some spam filters will block that.

The only effective way to work out why your mail has been treated as spam is to try and see the full mail header of the mail item ebico received and see if that gives any clues as to why it has been assessed as spam - sometimes it includes marks for each risk it identifies if the spam filter is on their mail server rather than on an individual pc.
