Ebico now not reducing their energy price!

I have emailed Ebico 3 times to try and get a response from them about the lack of a price cut and if indeed the Facebook message is legitimate.
To date I have not had a single reply and the Ebico representative on this board appears to have vanished into thin air.
Also the Ebico website has not posted an official statement regarding the lack of a price cut.
Therefore I have reluctantly decided to jump ship.
I'm sure I am not alone.
Are Ebico in trouble???0 -
Perhaps MSE Martin should seek an explanation of their apparent about turn seeing as they quote him on first page of their site.

I found EBICO were never very fast at responding to e-mails. Maybe it is time to send them a letter.0 -

What I find odd with some companies is that they charge less per unit the more you use.
Yet we are supposed to be encouraged to use less energy??? As far as I can tell anyway. On some tariffs using more costs less. Surely ti would be better to have the first units cheaper then further units more expensive to encourage people to use less energy.
I would like to look into Solar power and heating for the home as I read you can re-sell your suprluss energy to the grid.
25 pounds per month for gas and electricity? May I ask you a personal question, are you a mole. When I moved into my rented accommodation as a single guy the utilities company assessed my monthly bill, based upon one guy living in a 2 bedroom house, at 70 pounds per month.
I have assumed that that gas and electricity is horribly expensive and have been walking around the house wearing a miners helmet with lamp attached.0 -
I am quite careful with my consumption.
I have a gas condensing combi boiler and have 1 bath a day from it before work. If I shower at work though it's not my metered water or gas is it! My flat is new and is well insulated and I am at the top of the block and I think I do get heat from the lower flats.
I have an AAA+ washing machine and use that about 2-3 times a week. I have an A+ Dishwasher and do full loads in that about 3 times a week.
I have all energy saving bulbs but only have a light on in the room I am sitting in. What's the point of lighting unoccupied rooms?
If you are careful with consumption you can make really significant savings.0 -

I'm with you on this one. My electricity is £25 per month, and my gas is on a variable direct debit as I pay monthly, but would be £32 per month otherwise. I have a combi boiler (rented accommodation) which is serviced every year and is about five years old, my flat is as insulated as it can be, A+ washing machine used 2 times per week, no tumble drier, no dishwasher, energy saving lightbulbs which are only on if I'm in the room. I have a TV and a laptop. I'm very careful with usage, but not obsessively so, I just have it in the back of my mind to not be wasteful.0 -
There's lots of ways you can minimise your consumption. It's not just about installing extra insulation. Installing extra insulation I cant think will save you electric if you heat by gas.0

maybe ebico has had its day0

Maybe Phil Levermore, boss of Ebico, should put in for the job of Ethical Director OFGEM.0

I telephoned Ebico Customer Services today. They said that they are definitely not reducing their gas and electricity prices.
I am considering switching, as both my electric and gas bills were pretty hefty last quarter. However, having trawled through the various utiity coy's it is difficult to find a tariff that is not split. My requirements are quarterly d.d, no standing charge, single tariff. Any suggestions?0
