wedding ring tattoo

The only half decent thng that came up on google image wasn't a finger tattoo at all, but two semi circles, one on each person's arm that came together to make a full design. Maybe look towards that - an arm (or other area) tattoo design that can be put together to show your roman numeral date when you're together and completed?
I saw those, I'm still on the fence about that. They don't look too bad together, but not sure what they're like seperately. Plus I'd torment my friend's mercilessly if they were to do something so lame, and I know they'd laugh in my face if I did it. If I saw one that looked lovely, then that would be ok. I'd rather have a tattoo that meant something to me, than one's that have been designed to look good together.0 -

If hubby and I were to consider it (he has a manual job and it's dangerous to wear rings) it would have to be something like that
-No names (symbols are better anyway)
-Not too big
- Able to be covered by the real wedding ring
I would assume that anyone getting that would be of the mind that they are going to be together forever...but one should always think 'what if' (complacency is never a good thing).....who wants an ex's name on them forever??Cross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. Don't think either OH or I are too bothered what our friends think so thats that problem out the way.
Surely if it is a design that you have made together is is going to 'mean something to you''?:silenced:They Were Up In Arms wrote: »I think tabskitten is a crying, walking, sleeping, talking, living troll :cool:0 -

Which is exactly what we are looking to get.......
I woulds never get a name written on me, not even my own!! Or letters at all for that matter, hense a date or a simple symbol or design...
has to be small and tasteful, but i am the same with my choice in make up and jewellery in that sense, minimal.....

Something that looks good seperately but becomes clear with meaning when together - I quite like that idea and I'm not a great tattoo fan. It might be nice to have your arms locked and the design visible while being erm, intimate, hehe0 -
oohhh i do like that design it almost a celtic sort of design. Looks very danity.0

You think like my OH.........
Beginning to wonder what his motivation behind the suggestion really is now......;):silenced:They Were Up In Arms wrote: »I think tabskitten is a crying, walking, sleeping, talking, living troll :cool:0 -

At least you'll have your own code language eh, hehe0 -

Good Grief,
I'll never be able to exchange rings at the ceremony and keep a straight face with that thought in mind now!!:silenced:They Were Up In Arms wrote: »I think tabskitten is a crying, walking, sleeping, talking, living troll :cool:0 -

If it's a design you've made and designed (drawn) together, then fair enough, that would mean something. When people take in photo's off the internet or pick a design at the shop, because they think it looks nice, that's what I consider meaningless. It needs to have a meaning and look good, rather than just look 'nice'.0
