My friend has his wife's name tattooed like a ring. Looks good on him and is practical as he has a manual job.
  • no tattooist will recommend this as it wears off in no time if a ring is worn over it , names are the worst fading to nothing in a couple of years
  • There was a photo of Peter Andre in my magazine last week, coming out of the laser tattoo removal clinic with a bandage around his wedding finger!

I know the palm side wears off but the preliminary research i have done says the top usually stays well........
I work as both a sports massage therapist and a chef thats all so a ring can be problematic.....
would not have anything too intricate such as names, maybe in barcode or morse code form through?........

I would not be marrying someone if i had any intention of it not being forever, corny as that may sound that is my view on what wedlock should be. if i thought a tattoo would outlast us i would have given the engagement ring back the day it was given to me........

Thats what you get if you marry Jordan it would seem!:T

Indeed! I must admit that I do like the idea of a man getting a wedding ring tattoo. I have seen far too many men take their wedding rings off when they go out with the boys for the evening, and having a ring tattooed seems like a really romantic gesture, a sort of declaration of fidelity. Or does it make them more of a woman magnet, I'm not sure.

With your jobs it would definitely be worth considering though. Only two months left to decide! Good luck with it all.

No, no, no, no don't do it. My friend was exactly like you and wanted a ring tattoo and thought as you do that it was forever but things didn't work out as she planned and now she's left with this permanent reminder.

Personally I also think they look tacky but to each their own.

Isn't that what every couple thinks? Doesn't stop divorce lawyers earning a good living.
No reliance should be placed on the above.

yes- and many people get married in churches who are not religious too.
I think i have a very old fashioned view on things in that case!

Blimey charlie, am I the only one who would be very upset and want a VERY good explanation for their hubby to take their wedding ring off to go out with the lads?!?!
