To be fair if you compare your 19.9% APR to some other cards you would have to say they can't be lower end.

    For example

    Barclaycard Gold - 19.9%
American Express Platinum Cashback - 19.9%
    MBNA Europe Platinum - 22.9%

I think if you get their teir 1 rate of 16.9% then that rate sits in with the bulk of all other cards offered from all lenders

I think the increase of 3% from 16.9% to 19.9% shows a slight risk element. I may be wrong thou

Sygma are what I expect from a card provider, competitive APR, good limits, UK call centers, incentives and more. They beat MBNA et al hands down, they may not be a huge American giant but they are real and as for their customer service all I can say is A1.;)
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

    Thanks to the original poster.

I received my Silver card today with a £2000 limit and 18.9% APR. I can now get rid of my Capital One card at 39.9% APR, which is now clear. I already have two other Sygma cards, Flybe and Accessory. They only have £500 limits and are 24.9% APR. Cleared one last month so can get rid of it and will transfer the £220 balance of the other to the Silver card with 6 months interest free.

Seems like my issue with credit searches has been rectified by a Sygma underwriter and they are removing all of my searches if this letter reads right.

Also my Appeal is goin to be going to this particular underwriter.

That's a pity. I suppose I could transfer it to the Capital One card, then to the Silver card but I'd just like to get rid of the Capital One card. Plus with the charges for two transfers it may not be saving much really.

Sygma offer a 3 tier system, obviously someone that has a default is a risk in any lenders eyes and such they will pay "rates for risk" thus the reason why Sutton has been offered an APR of 24.9%

You can have your opinion but it still remains that sygma is NOT sub-prime credit.

Sorry, but with a 24.9% APR is certainly IS NOT a prime card.
I grant you, its not in the realms or Crapital One or that bloody Vanquis thing. However, as i said before, if you are a good risk, you PAR should be sub 20%. If you are a bad risk, the card won't accept you in the first place.
If you have a Sygma, then you are deemed as a bit of a risk and hence the high APR.
