Frankie, Have you made the lunchtime pate?
DH likes the spicy bean pate and I know he will like the liver. I have frozen liver pate in the past. It went a bit crumbly but still tasted good.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

sian are you around?
I remember on the last thread we had a conversation about onion marmalade... Where did we get to with that? I'm thinking of it with some falafels for planner 3, but I couldn't remember if you tried making any... sorry

Well, I'm happily stuffed now - after a dinner of Spanish omelette. All it needed was a slice of bread.... And the dummy here to copy down the instructions properly. Turns out I didn't realise last time that I was also supposed to have carrots with it
Meant to say earlier - Potty, you are a cook after my own heart :rotfl: I behaved myself in the kitchen tonight though, followed the instructions correctly and had a very pleasant and sufficiently filling meal as a reward for my good behaviour !
Susan, I think you are spot on with the battery egg issue. Shanks, you make pate whilst walking the dog ? Wow  Glad to hear that the bacon pudding heats up well in the oven - that's what I'm planning to do when we have ours again0 -

yep, sorry I've been slow with that whole meal! Allegra kindly went back and found the linkies about it for me but I've been a bit hectic, woolley brained and down today (nothing major, just post-babyness) and now I need to sort some stuff out for DH, but I will certainly get my head round it tomorrow or weds:o:D

320g onion, chopped into dice
85g sugar
150ml (10 tbsp) vinegar from jar of pickle (cabbage but beetroot I am sure is very similar/same)
Cooked all up in a pan, lid on for first 20 mins, then lid off to reduce, cook until most liquid has been boiled off, will be sticky but not too jam-like
This amount yielded 240g once cooked.
Weezl, shall most definitely be putting in a request with the Big Guy Upstairs for a swift and relatively painless delivery
yay for sian's marmaladeWell found allegra
spooky to read what request you put in for me with Kester arriving sian...
My established labour was less than 2 hrs.
And painless you ask?
Ermm, well let's say you have a 50% success rate:rotfl::A

Murrell and everyone thanks. A brief explanation was all I needed. We are having the pasta amatriciana tonight. I havent tried it before but it is very similar to one I would make anyway.
Just been to the gym and weighed myself, it was not a very pleasant suprise so will not be snacking at all from now on!!! Without snacks I should be on calorie-wise?

Right put my sensible head on and went and made the hummous and the lunchtime pate. This time i made it with chicken liver and i found it made a huge difference for me, much more palatable and not so strong liver tasting. I appreciate it is more expensive pigs liver was 63p for 350g and the chicken was 1.06 for 400g but for me it was money well spent as i will eat this one. Came out a bit lighter in colour as well and for me not so coarse in texture.
