Thanks to all for kind words, I'd talk more about detail, or perhaps talk in more detail, but considering I am 3/4 through a bottle of wine, heaven knows what that would turn into, so I'll just give a "very brave" sticker to ISOM (There were DALEKS ! And they were BIG) and move swiftly on ----

---- shall we just go straight for the vegan planner in May, Weezl ? The general consensus seems to be that we are all loving it :D

I haven't made the bread yet, how much is 1.5 loafs in weigh or approx sizes compared to a comercial loaf. I only have 1 slice of stale white bread, was 4, but slowly drindled down since I started saving it for this. I have lots of granary to use though. Do you think it has to be white?
    Thanks

I just defrosted a half loaf so nipped off to weigh it and it weighed 1lb. Which kinda makes sense seeing as I made it in a 2lb loaf tin :D So 1.5 loaves would be 3lb of bread...

Thanks for that, not sure how I will do this with one slice of bread, but I am determined too, if its not gone moldy

hello all, a recipe from planner 3, pasta con funghi now available at the usual place ;)

    :o:o:o

I know I said I was going to test the lentil and tomato pudding today...
But I had, what appeared to be a delayed hangover type thing going on :o so didn't quite get round to making it today.
Although, I am not sure if the headache was caused by the alcohol, or the daft head banging music that I was dancing to last night ;)
And on reflection... its maybe not such a good look on the life begining side of 40  But it was fun :rotfl::D

Anyway, it meant that after I had a wee lie down early evening, I woke up very hungry and made the pasta con funghi :T:T
Its very lovely. And I would deffo have it again.
    For me, its a 7 out of 10 :D
I misread the instructions... which meant I only used 100g pasta for myself, but to be honest this was plenty. I also misread the saucy part, and ended up making the full amount , and I used it all :o
But then again, I do like saucy pasta ;) so it wasn't a hard ship.
I think if I was to give it more than 7 out of 10, it would be because there would be a wee sprinkling of cheese on top :o But as it was vegan, I didnt :D

Edit... I have just realised I misread the onions amount too... as I used the full amount, just for me :o I did remember to only use 100g of mushrooms though ;)

We had the cloddies and they were very good. I added another half tsp of garam masala and a large pinch of powdered mustard. after tasting one first. It is a good way of disguising a veg that is sometimes disliked by children. My ten year old liked them and he does not eat swede normally.
If I were making them to be filling I would leave them as they are but I usually prefer my fritters, veg pancakes, bhajis etc less doughey so I would double the amount of veg.

I added quite a bit more water to get a dropping consistency and I used a dessert spoonful for each one. I got 12 out of the mixture.

    Morning all,
I've got some more bread to get baked, some sweet scones to do,bacon & onion pudding and I'm going to do some Lunch Time Pate and see if that is more successful than the other sandwich fillers.

I'm happy to try out next month's plan but in a more informal way.Is that ok?

Hope you all have a good day.

    of course :)

you can do that this month too if that helps, not that you need my permission:rotfl:

I feel that as long as most things get tested and I know I've got my quantities right then I feel we can launch it on an unsuspecting world;)

hope your head isn't too sore this morning Allegra;)

I've been giving some thought to that May idea...

in lots of ways I feel keen and very excited :D

also though I know that it is dependant on others helping with some of the tasks involved in getting it ready.

the thing that I think we all like about the internet though, and how it fits into our daily busy lives is that it's so easily 'pick up and put downable'. I see some folk posting several times a day and having lots of energy for a project, and then they go and do something else equally brill for a few weeks or months.

Since I don't know therefore what people resources I've got, I don't feel it'd be good for me to commit to being ready by a particular date, does that make any sense?

I think if we all worked together (ie in our paid jobs) it'd be different, because I'd be able to think, 'right I'll ask so and so to do that thing by friday and then I can meet my monday deadline' or something :) but it's all very voluntary and opt in opt outish on here and that's great, but in a nutshell I think it means I can't do stuff by a definite date.

Erm, a lot of waffle to say not very much, but do you know what I mean?

    Hope so :)
