Weezl, when I was looking through Shirl's snack recipes earlier to see what info I need, I wondered if there are any recipes that still need building/testing ? We have lovely Sian suffering recipe testing withdrawal symptoms, and new contributors offering their services, and as your kitchen is going through a metamorphosis....

Let us know and I'll strongarm someone into helping :rotfl:

HIYA!! I'm back in the country and have caught up - though I didn't miss much by the looks of it! Not looking forward to doing a rushed meal plan/mega shop today as about the only edible thing in the cupboards is pasta and peanut butter :p.

ETA: OMG, value butter has gone up to 98p!!

Aless I was shocked by that too. I think a 9p rise is excessive

Revised - and mercifully, shorter - list of questions and info needed:

Anyway, Weezl - here is the information I need:

    Ingredients for:
    chutney
    cordial

Information on how many times each of the following Kitty is making in a month:
raisin scones (is it 2 ?)
    mayo (assume 1 ?)
    chutney (assume 1 ?)
    lemon cordial (assume 1 ?)
carrot loaf batch ( an attempt at deciphering the s/s comes up with 4, if we assume 16 slices per loaf)
    ginger loaf batch (as above)
    bread and doughnuts batch
    coconut pudding (assume 1 ?)

    Further questions:
Does she also do an ordinary four-loaf bread batch with no additions ? If so, how many times ?

LOL Weezl. I mention fish & chips, you reply Mmmm & then we find that you had fish & chips at Ikea!

Sorry I have been quiet. I am in the same position as, I think, Allegra, inasmuch as I am trying to work full time this week & have DD here. Took her to see Eclipse yesterday, lots of teen angst & teen boys with their shirts off!

She will be away for three weeks after this week (in her case with her Dad in Surrey), so will have more time then.

I like my kitchen. Previous owner had it done new shortly before I moved in (though that was six years ago). Shiny white B&Q one, with chrome handles & a chrome rail with butcher’s hooks (so accessories are chrome). And it’s still fine.

But getting close to needing (as opposed to wanting) a new bathroom; besides it being the dodgy original 1970s lemon with honey pine, the toilet is broken (just about usable), the bath is chipped & the water tank is overflowing into the bath!

Would be helpful if you would confirm arrangements for 21st over here. I try to follow the Skype chat, but it moves so fast & am not sure if I have missed anything. When I got home from the office today (after 8pm due to pants trains – line side fire apparently) there were 375 unread messages just from today!

Having mentioned Spanish speakers with insufficient English, I would very much appreciate 101 easy way of saying to someone with not much English "You may only use the library computers once you have correctly explained the difference between getting over a broken leg and getting a broken leg over". And if you know how to say it in Spanish, I'll be eternally grateful.... :D

is anyone willing to write a recipe and method for homemade potato wedges? The only proviso is we can't stipulate and exact weight of potatoes, because the meal planner gives kitty different amounts with different meals. :)
