*rushes in quickly!*
So sorry I have been an awol weezl!
We had to erm... prematurely demolish most of the kitchen this weekend and fitting that in around the boys used up every scrap of spare energy.
I will catch up properly very soon and say lots more on topicky things but thought I'd better just say a quick 'hi' so no-one thinks I've died!

a summary of the outcome of Mr Arty's maths help on friday evening: I went with asdas calculation of the RDA of vitamin B12 on the marmite and ready oats packaging. However their RDA seems to be different from the FSA one, or indeed other ones we can find. So we seem to have a couple of options:
1) go with asda rda anyway
2) try to find another source in support of the RDA (ring asda to see where it came from?)
3) Add in one alternative meal and new ingredient which definitely meets the FSA published RDA (but this does mean that one meal is NOT vegan anymore sadly)
4) other ideas which you have. I'd appreciate knowing what folk feel is the right way forward

potty is there any chance you'd be willing to ring asda to find out where those RDAs come from?
I know you are busy with prepping the wedding favours though, so just say if that's tricky, and I'm sure someone will manfully (womanfully) rise to the occasion

I've just submitted a query to the ASDA nutrition team using their online form. They do say that they won't necessarily reply though.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Do you care to share your menu? I'm hoping to have something to celebrate next week and was thinking about some posh nosh that would fit in with the ethos of this thread.
Well done on having something special to celebrate!!
We were given the lamb so that saved a lot of money.
Squash soup, squash, onion and 1 clove garlic, tblsp vegetable oil. Cut squash in half, remove seeds, brush with 1/2 the oil and roast until softish. Saute onion and garlic, add squash water and seasoning. Simmer until sqash really soft then blitz with blender. Serve 1/2 with loaf of HM bread cut into chunks.
Roast lamb shoulder, HM Yorkshire puds, gravy, Spring cabbage, carrot and roast potatoes. Lamb shoulder is much cheaper than leg, I roasted it on a slightly lower temp for longer than I would do leg. Piled lots of cabbage on plates so they were all full!
Fruit salad with blackcurrants from garden, some Aldi specials last week, one banana. Co-op whoopsy greek yoghurt.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Like Weezl said, just popping in so no one thinks I've died
Busy weekend, then felt rough yesterday, then today ended up a lot busier than expected and the rest of the week might well end up being the same way !
