Can I just say, on a personal note, I SOLD MY BUSINESS TODAY!!!!!!!!!
This is highly splendiferous, comparable on the scale of fabulous things, to paying off your mortgage. It's the one event that enables all the things we want and need to do with our lives. Dont get me wrong I'm not now rich, I just have some seed money that allows some new things to happen, but it's monumental for all of us here.
Being Mortgage free is the most fantastic life even ever, welcome to the non mortgage world. I have found since paying off our and both of us being made redundant we have less money but more spending power.:beer:Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.0 -
There are some very useful writing tasks contained within Juliette's post above.
I realise I ask you all for a lot of help
But taking the risk that you're all doing it because you enjoy it/feel it's worthwhilewould anyone like to volunteer to collect our group thoughts on the articles juliette's suggested!
Could I make a couple of suggestions to add to Juliettes post?
1. Instead of 2nd month how about seasonal menus to help make the most of what is around during a certain season.
2. A frugal Christmas dinner, maybe using the £10 bonus given out to those on benefits.
Just a quick brainstorm but hopefully food for thought.;)Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.0 -
Great minds, auditbabe
Your point two is something I've been mulling over - special occasions on a budget; birthday cake, party buffet, Christmas.... ?
And congratulations, Queen of String - I keep wanting to call you Queen of Strong for some reason - guess it suits you :T0 -
Congratulations QOS !!!
Not related to the plan but I want to share this.
Tomorrow our village is having a Big Lunch on the village green. Everyone is invited but rather than doing what most other villages are doing and villagers making food to take along, our 'committee' has decided to get caterers to make the food and are charging £7 a head for a ploughman's lunch.
We are staying at home and as special treat I am making a Sunday dinner including pudding for 8 adults for £7!! That, of course, is £7 for the whole meal not each!business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

:beer:Hi Poohbear,
Do you care to share your menu? I'm hoping to have something to celebrate next week and was thinking about some posh nosh that would fit in with the ethos of this thread.
It won;t be as exciting as QOS news........Congrats to you! but in a modest way will mean that I CAN LIVE INSTEAD OF EXIST!
I don't mind if you would rather not share, hope you all enjoy your family day.0 -
Hello,
Was just having a peruse of CFR and noticed that the nutrition FAQ page needs some tweaking.
Just the odd line where a <br> has been entered wrongly/not entered as so is showing up as text and not creating a line break.
Here:
omega 6 and omega 9. Is there enough fat / energy? Growing children need fat!
And Here:
depending on gender and age).br>
So are we filling up on cheap white bread?
