ok sian, well I hope no-one feels they can't chat, I've never minded that.

I'll try if asking for help to do it in the way you've suggested.

Not sure what else I can do but if anyone wants me to then give me a shout.

Now I feel really mean for making you feel bad. I think what I am trying to say is that I really like this thread but at the moment the sort of tasks which are being given seem to be immediate ones which don't really work as well for me. I mean the list of ingredients for Joel looks ripe for some random experimentation in my kitchen but I would need a free evening and those are pretty hard to come by at the moment. Maybe what I should have said is
"Hey Weezl, I really like you and your thread and I would like to help. The problem is that I need very strict parameters on time, is there anything I can do at the weekend that would help?"

I think for people like me I need to have a deadline for tasks that isn't immediate, so,
if you said "Sian, can you by Saturday, find me 3 different hummuses with these ingredients" then I would do it, no probs.
if you said "Sian, can you by tomorrow find me 3 different hummuses with these ingredients" I would have to say no, because I wouldn't want to let you down if I couldn't meet the timescale.
if you said "Sian, can you find me 3 different hummuses with these ingredients then I would plan to do it but probably not get around to it for a while!

This may all be just me!
That pretty much sums up how I work.

And if you say, "Right everybody I need... ASAP." then I don't volunteer because I think someone else will be able to do it sooner than me.
( I also liked being on this thread for the ride too and think at the moment the scenery is a bit of a blur whereas I want to know what people think of doctor who, or about Fergie's new red shoes, or Lesley's random meetings at the village hall...)
Me too. (Although the Dr Who stuff passes me by because I don't watch it.)

Your recipes aren't very low in fat or calories, so I'm wondering if they're healthy?

This is a good point if you are trying to lose weight, and we acknowledge that the planners are built assuming people are not dieting. Following feedback from our readers, we realise that some of you would like to follow our planners and also eat fewer calories and less fat, so here is an article on how to do that. (click through to an article explaining that by reducing the amount of oil to 1/3rd of that stated, shirley average would still lose 5lb in the month. Article would say which recipes will cope well with being made without the oil- tangy bean pate, the curries, etc...)

just reposting this to say I think I should leave this paragraph out in the light of our recent conversations about dieting etc...

    Good idea Arty.
I am just tucking into some cherries from the tree in our garden. I did a little Hardy boys type endeavour to get the ones from the branches which the birds were eating from. It involved standing on a wobbly chair and lassooing the branch down and holding it whist picking the cherries. Mmm....

hayley I just tried copy and pasting but word crashed as it was over 60 pages!:)

You might be better off asking someone for a recap.

I would do one but I have a cold and neckache and have had a pretty !!!!!! day because kessie has the cold too and he panics whilst eating because he can't breathe through his nose. So he has screamed nearly all afternoon. So I just don't have the brain to do it! I'm sorry
