    Hey Weezl,
I am a little worried about the massive workload you and your family are taking on with all these planners. I think the original idea for the Joel planner was to have it to highlight what was possible but I didn't imagine it being as detailed for some reason. I guess I really thought it would just be a summary of what you experienced when you were doing it and some extra tips e.g. free pigs head, picking nettles, growing your own... I don't want you to be making yourself and your family miserable, however good the cause.

Sometimes I come on here and in a day things have rapidly moved forward and the impression I get from some people is "I would love to help but can't guarantee to have that done in the next 24 hours", do things need to be as rushed as they have become recently? Do you have a tight time frame for when you want this all done by or is it just a desire to get it sorted? I would like to help but never feel I can do things immediately which is what I feel needs doing at the moment, it has changed in vibe since the early days of "can you pop off and have a go at this and then get back to me?". I would really like to help and if there is something else I can do please let me know :D

I hadn't realised that sian.:( Sorry. I thought I'd waited a while before asking how things were going. If I didn't leave enough space before asking anyone then sorry about that.

Probably if you were to give a specific example it'd really help me to see where I'm giving that message?

Weezl I don't think it's that you've asked someone who's promised to do something too soon - more that everything seems to be rather a whirlwind of frantic activity and people feel they would be slowing things down.

hmmmmn, so I think you'd all like me to be quicker and all you think I'd like you to be quicker, but actually everyone feels rushed.

    Oh dear!:(

I've had the sense that people would like me to be quicker, and in response to that I have probably sounded more urgent.

No, I am not saying that you are putting that pressure on people, just that I am getting the impression that people are feeling that. Maybe I'm wrong. I think because you are working really hard on it, I feel that I can't offer the same :(
For someone like me that is quite vague and a bit absent minded if I were given a week to find 5 frugal pizza toppings I could do that, no probs, but if I had to do it in a day the chance of me doing that is probably nil.

OK. What should I do about that?

I blame Joel, Weezl. Ever since he turned up, we've all been thrown off-centre. P'raps we should have called him Ron :)

Well if you are feeling pressured then I think you need to cut yourself a little more slack and not plan to have it all done asap. I think for people like me I need to have a deadline for tasks that isn't immediate, so,
if you said "Sian, can you by Saturday, find me 3 different hummuses with these ingredients" then I would do it, no probs.
if you said "Sian, can you by tomorrow find me 3 different hummuses with these ingredients" I would have to say no, because I wouldn't want to let you down if I couldn't meet the timescale.
if you said "Sian, can you find me 3 different hummuses with these ingredients then I would plan to do it but probably not get around to it for a while!

This may all be just me! I am sorry if so, the last thing I want to do is upset people, I just feel that we are rolling down a hill getting faster and faster and I don't want for it to end at the bottom of the hill with you in a big, exhausted heap ( I also liked being on this thread for the ride too and think at the moment the scenery is a bit of a blur whereas I want to know what people think of doctor who, or about Fergie's new red shoes, or Lesley's random meetings at the village hall...)
