Hi arty,
I posted about kitty being delayed, but d'you think it'd be helpful if I said more/did a recap?
Yes please Weezl, if you don't mind that is:). I must admit I am feeling a bit lost and not sure what is going on at the moment with Joel and Kitty's plannersMoney paid out from Topcashback so far= £105.89 :j

ok
Well 2 weeks ago there was a snag on calories and so I needed to do some thrashing out with lesley and there were some issues with me not understanding how the spreadsheet worked properly, but once we'd fixed that I'd lost the window my dad had set aside for his bit of kitty stuff. Now he and I have done 12 hrs of our remaining bit, but dad has 2 more 8 hr days on Kitty, these are most likely tuesday and thursday but he can't definitely promise because he gets given work at short notice by his major client.
Joel is something I've been trying to do to respond to people feeling like shirl+kitty won't be enough as just 2 planners on the site, so I did a bit of the development of that while I waited for dad to do his bit.
Sorry I thought I'd posted the above, but p'reps I didn't, and the thread does gallop along at times!
Ermmm so there we have it, I'm sorry it's later than expected
Is that kinda what you meant lovely Hayley? xxx

Ah that has made things a lot clearer, thank you. You do not have to apologise for things being "late" though- this is your project and I am just along for the rideYou have a real life that comes before any of this and I, and I'm certain everyone else, wholeheartedly understand that.

I might be free the weekend of the 21st (I want to be) it depends on the finances and cost of train fare etc. Plus I will only be able to come down for a day, can't afford to stay overnight so I'm waiting for everyone else to decide on the definite day of the meet before committing myself to booking anything. It'll probably just be me too, I don't think we have the money for train fare for paul and joe as wellSealed pot member 735

Joel is something I've been trying to do to respond to people feeling like shirl+kitty won't be enough as just 2 planners on the siteI wonder if I have helped her to challenge her original non-negotiables (which I did actually want to do)There are some non-negotiables which don't fall into this category. But for me, the 3 we have chosen to focus on are not those right (in my view) and legitimate ones. I hoped in some way, that the planners and living then might highlight this to shirley.well, originally I thought it might challenge the non-negotiables.
But now I realise it won't and can't.me: wrote:if your true ambition for the project is to encourage people to adopt a different way of approaching their menus, then I think you should present that ideal to them. Otherwise, how are they to know that it exists?
If you think that the hardcore plan is there to fulfil someone else's wishes for your project and not your own, then you shouldn't waste your time on it. If it helps, I withdraw my suggestion. :-)This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
thanks avocet. I think perhaps I have been a bit confusing.
As I read back those posts I can see I have contradicted myself.
Since the skype meet last night I have been reflecting on whether or not to do the joel planner, and what merits it might have.
Please don't think I had a problem with what you suggested or why.
I genuinely always think you add great value to the thread. I remember saying to you back in 2008 how it felt like meeting a whole spare brain (That's a compliment BTW!)

aw thanks howlin! Don't overstretch yourself to get here, no point all being friends on a frugal website and then bankrupting ourselves to meet up! Altho it would be lovely to see you if it's doable
