got another meeting at the village hall tonight!

just the regular monthly one, but I can show off about my painting of the outside, which if I say so myself, looks pretty blimmin good

picked another 500g of raspberries today, so tonight we're having CFR shepherds pie and then a raspberry tart and ice cream for pud

    nomnom

put in 3 early purple sprouting, 3 late purple sprouting and 2 cavolo nero (black kale) in today. Then covered them over with enviromesh to keep off the dratted cabbage whites which decimated everything last year

hayley I just tried copy and pasting but word crashed as it was over 60 pages!:)

You might be better off asking someone for a recap.

I would do one but I have a cold and neckache and have had a pretty !!!!!! day because kessie has the cold too and he panics whilst eating because he can't breathe through his nose. So he has screamed nearly all afternoon. So I just don't have the brain to do it! I'm sorry:o:)

It's ok, thank you for trying anyway and hope you feel better soon:)

    Good idea Arty.
I am just tucking into some cherries from the tree in our garden. I did a little Hardy boys type endeavour to get the ones from the branches which the birds were eating from. It involved standing on a wobbly chair and lassooing the branch down and holding it whist picking the cherries. Mmm....

    ooh cherries, lovely, lovely

hoping my minarettes will provide some next year - no blossom this year, they were too wee I think

Hello everyone, back home again now and trying to catch up, but had a neighbour's funeral to go to today :( , so still lots to read.
I can make Aug 21st, but also pretty much any date with a couple of weeks notice, as I'm only a short train-ride from London.
Good things today? Well, waking up in my own bed this morning was great. The one in Rotterdam was much too soft!

what is the best thing that has happened to you today......
    1) I got some reduced cream at the Coop. (To make into butter.)
    2) I discovered Alice is fairly competent at removing the leaves from strawberries. The throwing random things I still needed into the dirty washing up water cancelled out the time saving benefits but she did do a good job.

Hi all I need to illustrate pinkhayley's alternatives article, but using photos of the recipes we're changing seems a little strange?! Errrm anyone got any inspiration?
