  • Butternut Squash Risotto question...

My OH has been having a good look at the recipes on the website and decided that he wants to make the butternut squash risotto next week.

Can it be reheated the following day? And how long would it keep in fridge for? I know rice can be dangerous when not heated properly and so was wondering what everyones opinion was on this?

I have some Morrissons High Fibre Bran which is the same as Kelloggs All Bran. Is that the same as the photo there?

sadly no, but thanks loads for looking :)

about the risotto, delicious hot or cold the next day....

reheating-wise I think you have to make sure all of rice goes up to above 70 degrees, do you usually microwave to reheat?

I realised shortly after posting that my bran was in stick form, which I realised isn't the same stuff after looking more closely at the Jordans :o

Yes we usually microwave to reheat. I don't have a food probe to check the temperature though so will probably just have to make sure it is piping all the way through.

Just checking it doesn't freeze? (Apologies about all the dumb questions, never made a risotto before :o).
