Personally I would loose it. You cant cater for people with medical conditions/rare things in their body.
I would agree with this. Because if you are covering people who have insufficient reserves of B12, then you really ought to cover people who are allergic to nuts, or have a lactose or gluten intolerance, or any number of other things.
But I do understand what you are saying - some people just might not know that their bodies have not stored sufficient B12, and if they go to follow your plan believing it will give them sufficient nutrients, and then fall ill... That would be awful, even though they would have fallen ill anyway, as their normal diet would have been unlikely to give them nutrients they needed.
Which is why you ought to - IMHO - lose the Marmite, but write a short nutrition-related article for the website explaining just how much B12 and folate you are providing, and how it may affect some people in rare cases - you are not only covering yourself, but you are also teaching them to fish.
Yes, you might get an individual or two criticising you for that - but believe me, that individual will find something to criticise no matter how hard you try to cover your angles - because they are not driven by genuine concern, they are driven by the urge to criticise.
Which is why I keep coming back to my usual leitmotiv - do you feel that the planner provides sufficient nutrients for Mr and Ms Average, and can you back up this belief with facts ? My impression from your posting arc is that the answers are yes and yes. That is good enough for me, and it ought to be good enough for anyone with any sense. The facts, figures and research are all out there, and there is no problem if Shirl or Kitty want to do some research of their own before diving in. Quite the opposite, I'd say.0 -

How weird is the plan going to have to be to compensate for not losing the marmite?
I disagree that the planner shouldn't cover people with low vitamin B12 stores. It's waaaay more common among vegans who will probably be the majority of those following the fully vegan plan.
I'm sure most vegans who would follow the plan would happily buy supplements for B12. Most vegans will already supplement their B12 intake because of the fiddlyness of trying to get it all from diet.
However, if they expect the plan will cover all vitamin needs and they have not been getting sufficient B12 on a long term basis (vegan and non-perfect diet for several years) then you'll need to put a disclaimer or something up because as you've seen folate can't totally replace B12.
Difficult one here.
Could we lose some of the snacks instead becasue as I recall there's a lot of them?0 -

Wouldn't we be too deficient on calories then ?0 -
anybody know how much gooseberries are? I can't find them on mySupermarket or Google
I am keeping track of the produce from the garden and we have had over half a kilo now and I don't know how much to price them at. I have guessed at £7 a kilo
At that rate, we have had just over £45 worth of produce so far this year, not counting the leeks we still had in Jan/Feb
we have gooseberry fool with lunch today made with Lidl yogort, just cooking the gooseberries now0 -

From what Weezl said so far, it would appear that the only other alternative to losing the Marmite is losing some of the fresh fruit, and as this plan was made vegan by default because of the fresh fruit non-negotiable....
