I wanted to ask who gave you away (because he looks young on FB-rather than a dad aged person!) I think it's cool you had your brother :)
He's two years younger than me so it would be a bit worrying if he looked old enough to be my dad.

If i ever do get married it will be my brother who gives me away too but no speeches or first dance. BTW Susan I really liked your wedding dress-did I read you made it yourself?
I did indeed. I got married two weeks after finishing my PGCE so made it in those two weeks. It was actually pretty easy - much easier than the Roman blind I just made for Alice's room.

Oh and now DH has found kessie and fergie's father's day present to him from where I hid it :( and he wants to take it back and get a refund. It's really not my day.
    :grouphug:

I should probably ask Alice if she wants to get something.

  • Sorry to hear that about Fergie, it must have come as a bit of a shock to you. Children must all develop at hugely different rates though? And although it must be a scary prospect that his speech may be a little delayed, you have two beautiful and healthy boys and that is the main thing. It sounds like you have had quite a day today . I hope you are going to have a nice relaxing evening now, you certainly deserve it!

Hmm.... not quite my idea of a relaxing evening but whatever floats your boat :)

Personally, I'd treat myself to a nice hot bubble bath with a good book and a big cup of tea. Just thinking about it is tempting me.. but I have to do some more revision for exam instead :(

well if anyone is at a loose end I have realised I am crap at meal planning.

Im trying to put a shopping list together which will provide meals for the next week for me and mr arty that are yummy and WW friendly. All I can think of is salmon and salad which is yummy but pricey to have every day.

Maybe I am shirley in disguise????

    xx

My bestest evening would be to curl up in clean pjs in clean sheets reading a good book with a glass of wine or a hot chocolate...maybe you could do that Weezl?

taka, all i did was reduce the oil, which made for slightly smaller amount of cake overall, but not enough that i noticed the piece i ate as smaller, iyswim. Tasted just fine, too!

Weezl, hugs for u. Tell dh to stop being picky and enjoy his father's day pressie no matter what. That's what he gets for nosing around!

I wonder if baby sign language would help fergie??? I have no idea though, but am giving u a hug since i have no advice. I can't wait to play with both ur boys when u come to london :D:D

Eta. Arty, soups!! Potato and onion is only 2.5 pts and sooooo filling. Carrot and onion is 0 points! Both very frugal. Other good, cheap things are popping corn (quite filling as a snack) and homemade bread. Weezl's raisin scones are only 1 pt each. I'll try and think of some other things. Not that i'm very good as the ILs visited today and i've eaten too much chocolate cake and an ice cream :o. Why do i always wind up splurging the day before weigh in? :p

I think aless said the calzone is only 7 points?

How many should each dinner be arty?
I can look it up on the spreadsheet if that'd help at all?
