    those are good :)

she said she thinks he is a bit delayed :( we have some strategies we can use when playing with him, and we'll meet her in 4 weeks to see if he's a bit further on.

I think he is lovely and perfect and magic and so anything not being ok feels scary and sad, but I also recognise that in the grand scheme of things it is not enormous (probably) and that I'm very grateful he's here and healthy and lovely.

Oh goodness, why do the have to use scary words like that? I am sure he is just doing everything in his own time and one day will come and tell you that your spreadsheet maths is wrong or recite a Shakespeare monologue to you:D.

I will tell you a little secret ...
    thanks arty :)

My very intelligent doctor friend was the same and her dad told that story in his speech at her wedding!:)

I mostly think it'll be ok, but my very good friend in real life has a little boy with a developmental delay and she has really struggled because of this.

Fergie does remind me a little bit of him sometimes, so I think it's maybe that fear, of what might be to come.

DH and I have just spent an hour with him playing in the way the speech therapist said, and we shall carry on using her ideas.

I have just noticed your ps so I have edited your quote!

last week I made a silly joke on the thread, and then when I came back to delete it, Lesley had quoted me so I just apologised and hoped for the best :o

My brother gave me away and in his speech he said he didn't dare tell any stories about when we were children in case I got him back.

I wanted to ask who gave you away (because he looks young on FB-rather than a dad aged person!) I think it's cool you had your brother :)

BOSS!!! Is this what you were looking for?

o, nnoommmoonnnn, don't do...nmnoomnnn.... it people...... hummmnoomnnnusss..... not good, tastes.....nnnssmmoooonnnmmmoonnn.... send all to me.....nnoommmonommonom.... will dispose for you.....nnoommmmonommm

Okay, okay. experiment 1- caramelised onion hummus...
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
    1 tbsp sugar

Place onion on baking sheet (mine had silicone liner on it)
Mix vinegar and sugar together and drizzle over
Turn onion over with hands until covered

Bake at the bottom of the oven (underneath something else you are cooking!) until softened and browned turning over occasionally (at 200C this took about 30 minutes)

Stir into 100g of hummus with 1tsp garlic puree

Stand in kitchen and eat with a teaspoon.
    Umm... scrap the last bit...

    Option 2- lightly spicy hummus

to 100g hummus, add 2 tsp garlic puree, 2 tsp garam masala, mix well

The garam adds a lovely sweetness to it which counteracts the extra garlic.
Probably good to not have this if you fancy a snog with someone who isn't eating it.

Am having it with some red lentil pate, leftover bechamel and tomato sauce mixed together and some homemade chips!

ll done! And I still have some chickpeas to make a batch of "my way" hummus (with indulgent ingredients like tahini and cumin :p)

All use the website recipe as a base.

    Hummus #1: Italian style hummus
Add 4 basil leaves, tomato paste, oregano and extra garlic.

    Hummus #2: Spicy curried hummus
Add garam masala, ginger, extra lemon juice and extra chili.

Hummus #3: Savoury hummus with a bite
Add balsamic vinegar, tiny bit of ginger, 1/2 tsp Marmite & scant 1/2 tsp mustard.

I thought I would like #1 the best, but actually #3 is my favorite! It's got a sweetness but a then a tiny bite from the mustard, mmmmmm.

They all taste quite different to me and I even tested by having 3 bits of bread one after the other to check :p.
