Howlin Wolf was doing the "how to" guide/glossary.

Lesley, when were you at the OU ? It's just that you seem so darn familiar, I am sure I must have come across you somewhere before !

Looks like I'm gonna have to cave in at last and create a facebook profile for myself, Aless....

I was doing courses for 8 or 9 years (half credit science ones, great courses, lots of work, couldn't do 2 a year). I graduated in 1991, so from about 1982 onwards

    you...?

I'm sure they're not your fault!

Dad multiplied carbs and protein by 4 (cals per gram) and fat by 9 (cals per gram) to attempt to duplicate the calorific value, (not checking up on you, just he was trying to automate it for future sheets) it worked perfectly for carbonara (ie your cals and his were identical) but then eg chick and onion pie was 100 cals out. He was low by 100 and we are just scratching our heads about whether we've missed something :)

Ok, I'll have a look at that one then and see if I can see what it is - rounding maybe?

must pop out in a minute, back at just before 2

    hiya,

I'm trying to get the exellent spreadsheet to cope with the 3 loaves of bread, one carrot loaf and 4 calzone batch masterpiece I added yesterday!

I've got as far as cloning HM bread twice more and attempting to express 5 dough batches, 3 bread 1 carrot, 1 master calzone (with extra ingreds added)

the column I'm struggling with then is the one which controls portions and batches.

Is any of that making any sense and can you see/think of a way the sheet could accomodate it?

Sorry if that's fried your brain!

(glad you had a nice day yesterday!)

hmm, yes, that does sound a complicated one for the sheet. What you would need to know is how many portions there are in total, and I could prob work it out from there

maybe one for an online chat

Nope, it wasn't there then. 2000-2003 for me. Perhaps I am just recognising a kindred INFJ spirit, rather than actually having met you before.... :)

The prices given were prices of comparable F&V in shops at the time (ordinary stuff I would normally buy, not organically grown which this was). The costs have been taken off already - and when it comes to herbs and chillies, I have not actually weighed them all, as I tend to just pick a few when needed, but have costed what I would have normally bought had I not been growing them myself - I think what I used having them in the garden is probably a fair bit more than that, so the price estimate is very conservative in case of those two.

It might be worth mentioning though that strawberries last more than one year so become more financially worth while after the first year.

I'm totally jealous of the cherries - even when I had a cherry tree I only ever got two cherries. (I did get a lot of foraged plums last year though before the council destroyed them by treating the plum trees as a hedge.)

I found mine really squidgy and squashy, BBH, too much so. I guess it's the oven - try taking them out earlier next time ?
