We are having Spanish omelette. But I forgot the squash so I am going to see what I can find in the freezer:(
Mr poohbear and all not so little pbs are suffering from a case of the Bobs too but DS3 is leaving on Monday and wont be home for four months so we are having a special treat, meat that needs to be chewed!!

does that bit I've highlighted mean we might not therefore have correct stock levels, or perhaps you haven't got the most up to date version
can you give me an example, it sounds a bit worrying!
I don't think 'scones' was the very last one you did.
one or two recipes had bread in the ingreds in 'scones' but not the website, chicken and onion pie had BNS as an ingred, and a couple of amounts have changed.
I'm sure the stock levels are fine on yours, I just need to match it up to make sure the cals etc reflect the current recipe0 -

Really???
Thats really good as I have an iron deficiency and tend to faint (alot).
Thanks Susan I didnt know thatxxx
Black pudding is 16.2 mg/100g.
Cashews are the highest iron nut I've found with 6 mg/100g.Any question, comment or opinion is not intended to be criticism of anyone else.2 Samuel 12:23 Romans 8:28 Psalm 30:5

Yes. I have low iron at the moment so have been studying the figures. It's one of the highest things that one can eat a significant amount of. (Various thing like curry powder, dried dill and tea leaves are loads higher but I can't see myself eating enough of them.)

Thanks Susan. Its a pain isnt it? It just makes me feel very tired alot of the time. I do have tablets but forget to take them:o
It's one of the reasons I stopped being a vegetarian; the other involving a ham sandwich and the Vatican, remind me to tell you all when we meet up:DIn art as in love, instinct is enough

I'll do the test in a bit to see what I am, did it years ago but have no recollection.
is there somewhere we can take the test? I've only ever looked at the Wiki entries and skimmed some books at an office I work in very occasionally
would like to do a proper test to see if I come out to what I think0 -

1. Think about how much you spend on food each month. Do you:
a) Need to reduce your spending immediately as soon as possible?
b) Hope to reduce your spending on food, but you’re not sure how?
c) Not care how much you spend?
Click on (a) (b) or (c) The answers click through to the relevant para and then give a link to the next question:
a) Great! This site can help you immediately reduce your spending by giving you a pre-made menu and shopping list which will feed a family of four for £100 a month! The nutrients have all been checked and the recipes tested by a panel for tastiness and to check they suited all members of the family.
Question 2
…………………………..
b) You’re in the right place! This site can help by suggesting daily menus for a whole month, which will cut your spending down to £100 for a family of four for a month! But don’t worry, the recipes are nutritionally balanced and have been tried and tested by busy families.
Question 2
…………………………….
c) You’re very lucky not to be worrying about the amount you spend on food. [insert stat on amount spent per person]. On this site you will find some great tried and tested recipes, together with meal plans and shopping lists which can help when you’re in a hurry. As the plans are nutritionally balanced so you can be sure you will get your five-a-day and all your vitamins.
Question 2
Other questions could be:
2. The planner has been designed for a family of 2 adults and 2 children. Do you normally cook for
a) 2 adults and 2 children
b) one person
c) one adult and 2 or more children
d) more than 4 people
3. How much do you like cooking?
4. How much kitchen equipment do you have?
5. How much storage space do you have?
It could be a way of reassuring Shirleys that the site can still help, even if they don't have a Weezl sized family with a ISOM supplied kitchen! I would think up to 10 questions, giving links to other bits of the site, suggest a first recipe, what if you don't have £100 to do the first shop, what if you don't like peas etc. Just helping Shirley to get started.
This is a great idea. People like being interactive with a website.0 -
am just looking at the onion tart recipe for the cals etc. It's got a great thing on the top about what size dish to use, but if I said an 8" dish to my daughters they would need me to translate it to cm before they knew what size it was (I'm the other way round!).
would it be worth having inches and cm?0 -
hmmm, recipes have veggies to have with on the bottom - should I be including those in the cal counts?
haven't so far, but could easily add in0 -
