Y I just wondered why it is categorised as 'meat' on the recipe list on the website? I'm a veggie but can't spot anything in the ingredients list that I wouldn't eat?

    Cbm

By jove you're right! (I thought we were still using Lard in that one. But we're not :)) will amend that list accordingly.

Jenny I've plonked a non-endorsement above the shopping list. Was that the sort of thing people meant?

Do please pick the site apart on things you feel detract.

I believe that at first if it stands any chance of folk finding it, it would have to be because readers of this thread and their friends feel able to mention/recommend the website.

Therefore if any of you feel it is embarrassing because of typos or other annoying glitches, you wouldn't want to tell Shirleys you might know. And that would be a huge shame. So do say :).

I also have a huge list of future developments and directions I'd like to go in, but I felt I should put something mediocre out there, so shirley is getting some benefit, and then move onto other things at the same time. Or I'd never have published anything!

    :rotfl:So future ideas also welcomed.

If it helps anyone, the next few developments as I see it are:

Planners 3 and 2 to be put on the site too, with their planners and shopping lists, with photographs.

Some more writing to be done on batch cooking (allegra:Ais working on this, but we mustn't rush her), kit lists, pinkhayley's leftover article :Tto be published. Jenny's article on adapting the planner for one person. Shanks's piece on what to do when the family rebel, and Howlins glossary of food terms (but May is a big month for howlin with the wedding so no rush there!)

My Dad and I are hoping to include new features so that if Shirley only wants to make certain recipes, the site will cleverly design her shopping list for her too. (we felt this was a super-exciting feature, but as it will take us weeks to build we thought we'd see if the site seemed popular first:o)

    Hi Weezl,

It might just be me but the chilli recipe on web doesn't look right. There are 'br>' on the end of two lines and no mention of adding the kiddney beans.

    Really impressed with the site.

I make my carrot cake in a rectangular dish, too...I usually half it and I THINK my dish is roughly that size.

If you click on weezl's name on one of her posts, then go to "go to weezl's homepage". Then on THAT page, on the right hand side there's a bit called "Links" - it's the 1st one. I would post the direct address, but not sure weezl wants us to yet. :o
I think the MSE rules are that I can't post any links to sites that I own or wrote Aless, unless I ask MSE forum team to be an official company rep. I will do that soon.

Very kind of folk to think of a book!:A

Poohbear I'm so glad you looked at the site. If you feel able, I would value your comments about the way the recipes are worded. As someone who has been teaching this for years, I know you have a much better sense than me of what constitutes a good recipe. I'd be massively grateful for feedback. Also thanks lots for saying how everyone got on with the planner :beer::beer:

beers for all your lovely men for taking part :D

good spot! Changed now, thanks :A

DH is annoyed with you all!

I've promised him a big kiss with tongues if he can find 14 errors in the site, and you all keep finding them first :rotfl:

The Asda disclaimer on the month 1 shopping list made me smile - should it be added to the costings page though or could the (Asda) just be omitted so it just says uk supermarket?

There is a link 'what you need to cook this month' at bottom of month1 hopping list that doesn't work - may not be a page made yet but just to let you know.

Sounds picky but you did ask... sorry

I think the Asda non-endosement on the shopping list look ok, unless anyone has any further suggestions.

The options 1 link doesn't work when I've followed the planners, option1, month1 trail then tried to go back.

It's near the top of the page and looks like this

I can pop it in both places if people feel that'd be good?

Thanks for all these checks guys, I've done all of them apart from the meat/vegan/vegetarian table one which is harder so I'll need help from my Dad :)

It's brilliant that people case enough about Shirley's site to want to make it really good :)
