Small mistake in Pasta Alfredo Recipe
Ingredients show Lard. Instructions say Butter, both forum and website recipes.Hi Weezl I didnt use oil or egg in my Carbonara and it was fine like that. I followed your recipe but didnt need the 50ml oil as the bacon produced enough fat to cook in. In your shopping list you have down 7 blocks of lard. I bought 3 and still have 2 and a bit left over. Am i missing something?. Also the lemons are you now including cordial? cause if not i think they may be wasted. Sorry dont mean to tear your hard work to bits feel free to tell me to mind my own beeswax or other phrases of your choosing:rotfl:
Hi Weezl
I'd happily do it. It will probably be tomorrow evening before I can get started though.
The Chilli was a huge success tonight, I must admit to cowarding out 3/4 of way through adding all those onions though!
was there enough with fewer onions? Not quite sure how many you cook for and how old they are, ie if younger than Jenny and Jason
thanks loads for any help with gas/elec conversion:A

Aless, by colour coding the recipes according to veggie/meat/vegan, did you mean like this:

weezl - something like that! It wasn't an "essential" just a suggestion to make visual organisation easier
. Hope you didn't go to a lot of effort!

arty, I understand that your mum and some friends are very web savvy.
If you feel they would have time/inclination to give any feedback on the site I'd be very grateful
ps: you asked about it's google ranking. Currently top of page 3 for the search term 'cheap family recipes'. Not bad for day 3 of existing!

It's clear, uncluttered and uncomplicated while still being visually interesting.
So many web recipes appear either daunting or unappealing because of the way they're presented. I don't know who designed the site (sorry, I've not had chance to read all of this thread) but it looks very professional indeed :Tthe design was me and some of the coding. My Dad did the complex coding. He believes in our vision too for his own reasons. A young lurker wrote to me (her initial is K, so you know who you are!) and I showed him a quote from her message, and on the strength of that he has been giving his time for free. So K if you are still reading, you are an inspiration! Hippeeechiq, please can you say a little more about the bit in bold?

I will have a proper look at your wording but it won't be until Monday Is that okay?:A
I checked out the net bags of citrus fruit in my Asda.
They range from 5 to 7 fruits, for the smart price range, cost 67p.
If Kitty is getting 7 or more fruits per smart price net, then its costing her a maximum of 9.57p per fruit...
Its over 11p for 6 fruits.
However, at the front of the fruit isle, there was an offer, on citrus fruits...
The fruits looked exactly the same to me. Although they were not packaged as smart price.
The nets contained 10 fruits each.
And the cost was £1.
This information is NOT available on mysupermarket.
If Kitty opts to physically go shopping, she can see that the £1 nets of citrus fruits are better value, if the smart price nets have less than 7 fruits.
Hope this is of some use.
If you need any more info tonight, from Asda, let me know
Just as a wee after thought....
I quite often buy the garden gang fruit...especially when they are on offer, which they do seem to be quite alot (2 for £2 ect)
There is often more fruits in these bags...
I wondered if the actual fruit was too small to be considered a portion, or is this something that would be nutritional viable for Kitty?
Anyway, bedtime
yay for potty-ace researcher

Why 14 ? I could understand 10, 15 or even 16 (hex).
