!!!!!! do you mean 'I' is better? Or do you mean something else I'm not getting?

Sites like innocent smoothies use 'we' to talk about themselves, so I guess I was just going on that.

No, all I'm saying is that reading it makes me want to shout "who the hell are you ?". Innocent smoothies - well you know who they are, but with this site you haven't a clue who 'we' are (and therefore implicitly what's behind it all).

    thanks !!!!!!.

This is an important point then, but I don't know how to resolve it. It seems it is detracting. But I can't just replace the word we for I...

    Can anyone help?

If I understand !!!!!!'s point properly, there's a 'who the hell are you' annoyance factor because no-one has heard of us.

Innocent smoothies are an established brand, so they can have a website-that's cool.

But no-one's heard of us :(

But they never will if we never have a website.

It's a bit of a vicious circle, that one!

Worry yourself not, Weezlie. All he means (and I just checked) that you need a "who we are" section - and others have mentioned something similar over the last few pages. A big part of why we here were happy to follow you whirling it for Shirl is because of who you are.... Which is why you need to let out more of yourself and your own personality on the website, rather than keeping it too neutral :)

    Ah! *light dawns!*

    I see.

I was going for neutral cos I thought people might think it a bit immodest to waffle about myself!

I'm happy to write it. But I feel I need a little guidance on what it would include in order to be appealing.

Like can anyone offer me a pretend version so I can insert the right bits and bobs?

Querry about Bread of Heaven (Home Made Bread) Recipe.

    Ingredients say 15g Allinsons Yeast.

    Insructions say to activate yeast.

I thought you didn't need to activate dried yeast.

    Sorry to be picky.

    Jenny.

Oh, sorry. "Potted bio of the outraged madwoman...." ;)

But on a more serious note, if I was someone who found you through Google, that's exactly what would appeal to me. The fact that you feel so passionate about this that you were working on the planner right up until you went into labour; that you and Mr Weezl lived on 50p a day yet still attempted to meet the healthy eating guidelines, etc.

Bear in mind, though - this is personal opinion only, so you have to hear a few more opinions before commiting your time and energies to writing it up ;)

    Ah, right ho!

Should I change it to 'awaken' or 'enliven'?

or I could just say, dried yeast doesn't normally need this, but it adds oomph to your dough in this recipe, due to not needing to knead...
