We are on a standard-size laptop, and in PC terms, it is rather elderly, yes (8 years old). It's just us then, is it ?

from my experience in the past, probably not!

Often people think 'oh it's meant to be that way', and then the designer doesn't know it's rendering wrong! Thanks for saying :)

Please refresh your browser and tell me if you now have a leg (ra) -see what I did there ;)

edit nope! that made it worse!

Original restored now, will look for a way to solve that now...

Just an arm still (but I see now you said you restored the original, so that might be why). However, if I close my favourites centre, I can see the whole thing. Normally I'd expect site to wrap the text to fit the size of the screen - this is what yours ain't doing. If that's any help (probably not)....

The site is brilliant, btw - and it looks stunning ! Oh, and I finally have a day-to-myself tomorrow, so have high hopes for catching up on writing and the like :D

small suggestion for the lovely new web site

when you talk about the cost savings on the home page, it might be useful to say why it is £4,000. To me, a statement like that seems like advertising, so when I break it down, actually, no I won't save £150 on my car insurance because I am already spending less than the price you are offering

so, for me, it would be useful to say something like, the average family of 2 adults and 2 teenagers would spend £x on their groceries, this plan costs £x for (the year, the month, whatever) so following this plan you would save £x. Or something like that

off up the village hall, back in a bit

very helpful feedback! We'll make it wrap in another phase, but at the moment the text is part of the image (which isn't the best, but I decided to try to get some resource out there to shirley, rather than tweak indefinately and wait for perfection IYSWIM?) :)

Speaking of which, if I'd come from google particularly, there are lots of mentions of 'we' but I can't see any sign of who this 'we' actually is which would make me a bit suspicious.

Also, the 'template by' bit at the bottom brings back a page not found at present.

!!!!!! do you mean 'I' is better? Or do you mean something else I'm not getting?

Sites like innocent smoothies use 'we' to talk about themselves, so I guess I was just going on that.

Interesting point... what does it make the reader suspicious of? Alliegance to Asda? ;) and what would you replace it with?

Thanks for being willing to give feedback, I very much want this to be a useful resource :)

Congratulations everyone! As I cant join in ( too many dietary restrictions) I've only been able to look on in admiration at your ingenuity and committment.

I've got far too much on at the moment but when things settle ddown I will see how I can alter it to suit my needs (then again with no gluten, pulses, onions, garlic and limited fruit and veg..... It will take some doing!!).

So what are you all doing with the money you've saved?! Paying off debts or treating youselves?
