Our small sub-PO is lovely, staff are friendly, chatty and helpful. Was open on Fri too, although not tomorrow! Only pain is that they close for an hour at lunchtime. 20 min walk or 5 mins by car.
Bigger PO, less friendly, still helpful though, and a bit more busy. 20 mins by car.

I feel for you . My local Po is 50 meters away, but they are sour cows, I would love them to be sacked. They are useless and when they see the queue building up they shut the window & go and make themself coffees, so only one is open instead theree. The are real b*****s. I wish they were sucked, the number of times they sent me away , because the post code didn`t exist, although other Po can send it without any probs.. I have to drive to one close to me and he is wonderfull and wants Ebaayers to come to there. Only the more people you have there the longer they will be open.
There is another one 2miles away - have to drive, very nice and afficent ladies. Those Po workers should have a payrise ,whilest the c**p ones should be shut, sacked, no merci.
I have sent letters, but it makes no difference, they just can`t get rid off the s***t old useless bags.

My local one is awful, it is run by a husband & wife team. They have made me cry previously & act like they are doing you a favour by taking the parcels in. They are rude to the older customers who are collecting their pensions & I dont think Ive ever seen them smile.
The thing that gets me is that my community fought to get this post office, when about 5 years ago as they closed the old one. When this one first opened we were all grateful, now anyone who can travel to another post office does so.

Must be something in the PO water! We have the same problem round our way! I used to go to one 10 minutes up the road, but he moaned about "Ebayers" and wanting cert. of postage so then went to our local where they have faces like a smacked a**e - and couldnt get any slower if they were covered in treacle running through custard

LOL at least Im not the only one, I have quite a few things to post tomorrow - I wont be going to my local, another thing he does is everytime I say 2nd class he does it all 1st class anyway. Really annoying, though obviously not for my buyers

My local PO is alright. Most of the ladies are very nice and friendly, though there's one woman who I don't think understands what customer service is. I went in last Saturday with a bag full of parcels and she rolled her eyes right at me. Very rude!

Well you lot are lucky to have a local one left to use it seems to me! We've had 3 small ones shut recently (the cut backs ... ) .. the main one is the nearest one now .. it's inside the local W.H. Smiths branch and is massively busy most of the time .. at least 10 in the queue!!

The only other local alternative is 25 minutes walk away .. and that is getting to be crowded with people now ...

well theres 3 that I could get to, but only one in walking distance and that is the one im complaining about. though complaining to royal mail doesnt actually seem to make a difference
