Hey FW
Fieldwork is all done nowI have been putting my fieldnotes into Atlas and starting to write some notes and develop some lines of thinking. I am very behind with this as I ended up taking about a month off to sort out the wedding, whoops. My first draft chapter is due the end of September, and I am hoping to stick to that somehow.
Married life is great! We feel newly invigorated. It has been a tough couple of years. It feels nice not to have something looming in the foreground, and just to be able to get on with writing now. And some nice home things like finishing off bits of DIY and making a store cupboard. I have been spring cleaning all last week, it has been great.
I am so pleased to hear about your leg feeling better. It was such a good decision. Just let yourself be spoiled for once. Hope you have a lovely name day and your sister has a brilliant birthday:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -

Hope you are well and resting FW.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -
Well, I walked to the nearby big park today - my estimate is that the walk was about 2.5 miles. My leg is telling me that it was too long. Feeling rather worried that I overdid it and praying that no damage has been caused.
This also made me think that I tend to overdo things often. With everything. Failing to remember Pareto's rule - 20% of effort brings 80% of results. Overworking texts, over researching, over analysing. No patience, always in a hurry. One foot in the past and one in the future - you all remember what happens to the present.
Solution? I have decided to return to Indian philosophy and the study an practice of zen. And start practicing meditation and mindful living. Yep.
